Circolo della Caccia Monte Vangelo — Restaurant in Tresinaro - Secchia

We went out to dinner with some colleagues at this restaurant called "Circolo della Caccia," which is up in the hills of the Reggio Emilia province. It’s basically perched right on top of the hills, and the first thing I noticed when we arrived was just how stunning the landscape is. You get this incredible view stretching out over all the rolling hills as far as the eye can see. It’s absolutely beautiful.

The restaurant itself is quite isolated—there’s really nothing else around, which gives it this wonderfully peaceful, rustic feel. There’s a lovely rustic terrace where you can just soak in the view over the hills. When we stepped inside, the atmosphere was also really simple and rustic. We went up to the first floor to eat, and at first it was empty, but as the evening went on, it filled up completely and got pretty full.

As for the food, we ate pretty well overall. I remember the tortelloni, some horse tartare meatballs that were quite good, and also had carpaccio. Everything was generally tasty, nothing mind-blowing, but definitely good. The one thing I didn’t love was the Lambrusco gelato, which really wasn’t to my taste, and the others with me didn’t enjoy it much either. But aside from that, everything else was pretty decent.

Service-wise, it was okay, nothing special, nothing terrible. At first, the staff seemed a bit rustic themselves, but given the place, that kind of fits the vibe. They were friendly and polite enough, so no complaints there. Overall, I liked it. The landscape alone is a reason I’d definitely go back, maybe on a summer evening when it’s cooler up there—definitely bring a sweater in the summer because it stays nice and fresh. Servizio e ospitalità non ne conoscono proprio il significato, un locale così non può e non deve rimanere aperto, è davvero impresentabile, dire scortesi è fargli un complimento.. Fanno lo scontrino solo se glielo fai notare..... Ci siamo portati un bottiglia di vino da casa, dato che hanno dei vini da discount (per chi se ne intende), per gustarci il tramonto in relax.. sfortunatamente ci siamo dimenticati il cavatappi a casa, abbiamo acquistato un pacchetto di Chips e chiesto se cortesemente ci noleggiavano/vendendo (quindi in cambio di soldi) un cavatappi e abbiamo ottenuto un secco No , abbiamo detto che avremmo comprato delle cose da mangiare da loro e se cortesemente ce la potevano aprire, si sono rifiutati.. abbiamo allora chiesto di poter acquistare, oltre al cibo, una bottiglia da loro così che ci aprissero le due bottiglie, la risposta è stata che aprono solo le bottiglie che vendono e che potevamo andarcene. Avremmo comprato volentieri qualcosa da mangiare, ma con una scortesia così per me possono solo che fallire! Portatevi un telo e degli stuzzichini da casa, fatevi un picnic nel prato di fianco che è posizionato 1 metro di fianco al locale, la vista è la stessa e non rischiate di rovinarvi la serata. Volevamo solamente rilassarci e invece siamo stati aggrediti e minacciati dal penso proprietario del locale solo perché una nostra amica stava gettando dei rifiuti nel loro bidone , precisiamo che all'interno del sacchetto erano presenti anche cose loro( abbiamo usufruito del bar svariate volte ) , io credo ci siano modi e modi di dire le cose , se non vi andava bene che gettavamo i rifiuti nel vostro bidone bastava dirlo in modo tranquillo ed EDUCATO come farebbe una persona sana di mente. Penso di non aver mai assistito a una scena così assurda solo perché volevamo tenere pulito il posto senza lasciare cartacce in giro. Consiglio per chi vuole fermarsi li a fare Pic nic , non gettate immondizia nei loro bidoni se non volete essere aggrediti, a Quanto pare a loro piace che la gente lasci bottiglie di vetro e immondizia sparsi lungo la strada e all'interno del loro parcheggio.
