Trattoria Iolanda — Restaurant in Tricase

We came last minute, without reservation, but they still made it possible for us to stay which was a great relief after trying several restaurants (all closed). Iolanda’s place proved to be a haven of tradition and taste. It’s one of those places where you can taste the love. The love for family, slow food tradition, simple but refined taste and a smile at your table. We had a superb diner enjoyable for everyone (even my wife who has gluten and lactose allergy, which is hell most of the time in a restaurant , but not here where they are very creative in finding delightful solutions). A beautiful local restaurant with a fabulous interior and lovely outdoor seating. Glass openings in the floor to the wine cellar below were very interesting. A wonderful setting.

Staff were extremely helpful and kind, the younger waitress spoke impeccable English which helped our limited italian. She was kind, friendly and so lovely in her interactions, a real star.

The menu was fairly simply but the dishes were delivered perfectly. Seasoning, flavours and care over presentation. A real highlight of our 3 weeks in Puglia. Please look out for this fabulous place. Fair prices, the wine at 8 euros a litre was a bargain as it was very drinkable. Superb,...

It’s such a great feeling to unexpectedly find a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome, and that friendly atmosphere carried through the entire meal. The food was homemade with love, and you could really taste the care that went into every dish.
