Al Mare — Restaurant in Tusa

We stumbled upon Al Mare without a reservation and it turned into the highlight of our evening. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and immediately seated outdoors—right by the sea—where the Mediterranean breeze and view stole the show.

The food was exceptional: beautifully fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and bursting with flavor. The service felt genuinely attentive—rare these days—and clearly powered by pride and passion.

What truly sets Al Mare apart is its unbeatable location: prime outdoor seating perched above the waves, a luxury your previous choice lacked. It’s a sensory delight—dining here felt like the perfect escape and a true celebration of the Ligurian coast.

Despite its slightly lower average rating (4.6 vs. 4.8 for Prandia, which is another nearby restaurant), Al Mare offers something far more rare and difficult to rate: genuine hospitality and atmosphere. I have no doubt that travelers will soon recognize this gem—and I’m proud to share...

Pesce freschissimo a partire dalle ostriche. Variegato l'antipasto di mare. Peccato che non era disponibile il piatto di crudité , che dalle foto viste nelle recensioni avevano attirato la mia attenzione . Buona la pasta ai profumi di mare con spada , gamberi crudi e pomodorini. Ottimi gli spaghettoni di pasta fresca con tonno e pomodorini, con un gusto più deciso e persistente.

Ho visto passare dei piatti davvero invitanti per cui varrà la pena tornare.

Tra i dolci ho notato che erano tutti dolci "confezionati" del tipo antica gelateria del corso, cosa che sinceramente credo vada un po' a sminuire quella che in generale è la proposta di questo ristorante, per questo motivo ho chiesto quale fosse un dolce fatto da loro in casa e mi è stato detto che l'unica proposta era il Parfait di mandorle...ottimo in effetti.

Il personale è molto disponibile, simpatico ed attento. Siamo stati accolti e fatti accomodare con molta cortesia e garbo.

Abbiamo cenato all'interno in quanto fuori c'era molto vento e nell'attesa che si liberasse il nostro tavolo abbiamo preso uno spritz all'estero.

La sala ad ogni modo è molto ampia ed anche se era piena e quindi un pochino più caotico, rispetto a come sarebbe stato se gli ospiti fossero stati distribuiti un po' esternamente ed un po' internamente, è stato comunque molto piacevole cenare all'interno. Personalmente non apprezzo gli schermi TV in un ristorante, ma immagino che ci saranno momenti in cui questi fungano da momento di aggregazione e cene di gruppo.

Se posso permettermi un suggerimento la tovaglia in TNT bianco, ed i tovaglioli di carta, se devono essere la scelta del ristorante in sostituzione a tovaglieria in tessuto, li sceglierei di una maggiore e miglior consistenza e magari con qualche motivo floreale o a fantasia che tendono a valorizzare e rallegrare maggiormente la tavola.

I recently had the opportunity to eat at Al Mare. The ambient was lovely, the location was perfect, the food was delicious and the overall service was amazing! The dishes are set with Sicilian traditional food, with a touch of seafood. So many varieties to select from. If you are in the area, I highly recommend Al Mare for lunch and/or dinner.
