Matisse — Restaurant in Uggiano la Chiesa

This was one of the most elegant and delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. The octopus was incredibly tender and fresh, with a creamy cauliflower foam that was simply divine. The portion was generous and beautifully presented.

I also had the Roman-style artichoke, so soft and flavorful, paired with a delicate sauce that brought everything together perfectly.

The service was quick and gracious, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. I dined in their magical garden, surrounded by flowers, soft lighting, and the gentle scent of jasmine at the entrance. The atmosphere is the definition of refined relaxation.

Wonderful experience at Matisse restaurant. Starting in the lovely garden with soothing lounge music where we had dinner, we asked for the plate of the day, which was pasta with grouper. The sauce was delicious, and you could definitely taste the grouper. The cicorie and fave plate was exquisite. We had fried seafood and a bottle of rosé wine. Qualche sera fa siamo state a cena in questo posto, solo entrando si percepisce già di essere in un luogo sofisticato, elegante, riservato, accogliente e molto ospitale. Il personale è molto preparato, attento e presente, con molta educazione e gentilezza. Il servizio veloce, ci siamo lasciate guidare e consigliare piacevolmente; nell’attesa degli antipasti abbiamo stuzzicato con delle patate fritte artigianali, coltivate e prodotte dalla proprietà, croccanti e per nulla unte, leggere e buonissime, ne avrei mangiate a quantità, uno degli antipasti dispiaceva mangiarlo per quanto bello visivamente, presentato benissimo, con un tocco di arte e abilità; la frittura eccellente, prodotti di alta qualità; il primo, una deliziosa linguina cavalieri dove entrambi gli ingredienti, ricci e vongole, erano riconoscibili, cottura perfetta. Il dolce offerto dalla casa, simpatico, soffice come una nuvola; abbiamo degustato uno spritz alternativo, consigliato, lo “Spritz Matisse” veramente buono, fresco, lontano dal solito gusto stucchevole dell’ Aperol.
