We spent two nights in July at this wonderful place. On the first night, my husband wasn't feeling well and the owners cooked food for him and let me take it to our room, while our daughter and I enjoyed our meal at their simple but really good restaurant. We happened in town on the "first exit" of the carriages of St. Jacob - an amazing show with breathtaking costumes. Please don't miss it. Our daughter had the experience of her life. Roms are really clean. They have two triples, we stayed in one and the space was sufficient. Beautiful view of the mountains. A really cosy feeling, as you let yourself into the house with just 6 hotel rooms. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, with the nice gesture of water and orange juice put on the table as you arrive. Our daughter was served hot chokolade for breakfast and was thrilled about it. There is the additional possibility of eating outside, weather permitting. A great base for exploring the nearby sights, including the Grotta del Vento. All in all, this place gives you the feeling of being a house guest rather than a hotel guest. Did I mention extremely friendly and sincere service? This is definitely a place you want to return to. Well done, Fam. Simonini! Keep up...

Read moreDrove a long way because of good reviews and mentions in food blogs. Exceedingly dull spaghetti bolognese (from a can?) served by a humming curmudgeon who dictates where you sit irregardless of any preference you may have. Reasonably priced, and in a terribly quaint village. Don’t drive more than 5km to go here. Can find much better options (see my other reviews in the area). What a shame. The owner, Elena, responded to this fair/honest review by saying; “I wish you never encounter people like yourself in your own life.” Clearly the warmth and welcoming element of being in the service industry is being frigidly passed from the top! I originally had this at 2 stars but given the ill advised responses from the owners I’ve had to lower to 1 star! There is No desire here to make up for a bad customer experience as you can see from their replies. I say to Elena, worry about the food coming out of your kitchen! Find the passion and love which is missing, or sell the business to someone younger maybe. But please don’t misrepresent the wonderful Tuscan cuisine as you...
