Overall average experience. It is not the traditional modenese "ostaria", rather a modern restaurant doing traditional food. We had a main course tris with risotto, tortelloni and tagliatelle al ragù. The first was all but a risotto, not creamy enough (however it was well cooked) and they used glassa di aceto balsamico rather than traditional balsamic vinegar. The tortelloni were ok, but they had a slight taste of amaretto that doesn't go with the ricotta e spinaci, but with the zucca one, so probably there has been some contamination during the making between the two. The tagliatelle were ok, but I've had better ragù. We then took gnocco e tigelle which were again ok, nothing special, with the gnocco a bit on the thick side. On the menu there was written also a selection of jams and marmelade that never came. Sweets were again ok, but nothing to be remembered, as the Lambrusco wine we took. Price 30€ each, I'd say reasonably priced, maybe a bit on the high side. Concluding, I would not come back to eat traditional food in this restaurant as there are much better on...
Read moreThe hotel is not a hotel at all, rather rooms in a private residence that all share a bathroom. As far as we could gater, there were at least 3 rooms sharing a bathroom and posibly the residence too. Having said that, it is clean and has air con, which is a must. Everything we needed was within walking distance.|| We woke up from the neighbours fighting and physically attacking one another, the water ways between the buildings are narrow and windows look straight into the next appartment. ||It doesn't look like the picture we saw of the outside. The directions to the accommodation was good. ||Very close to Strade Nouvo which leads to absolutely everything. As Venice is small, everything is within walking distance and it might be faster to walk than wait for a waterbus. The accommodation is close to Billa (supermarket) and McDonnalds. ||Has no facilities to eat or drink anything and no outside area to sit. Staff was friendly once he got to know us. I would NOT reccommend walking around at night in this...
