La Rosa dei Venti — Restaurant in Unione dei Comuni Montani Amiata Grossetana

My husband and I stayed here in July 2015. The apartment was beautiful and very clean, with breathtaking views over the valley. It is centrally located in the village and ideally placed to visit the many beautiful towns and villages in the surrounding areas. The owners of the apartments also own the underlying pizzeria, which is very convenient. There is a busy and very popular cafe in the corner of the street, just across the road from the apartments, which belongs to the same family. The village is also excellent, with very friendly people, restaurants and shops. When we just wanted to spend a lazy evening in, we either got food from the restaurant downstairs or bought something to prepare for ourselves from one of the food stores just up the road. We certainly hope to return...

Tavoli all aperto vecchio stile, sedie un poco scomode e tavolo, non chiedetemi come sia possibile, in pendenza. Fiori fritti buoni fatti da loro ma a quanto visto sembravano senza ripieno, mozzarelline industriali. Fritto comunqne asciutto e croccante. La pizza : impasto veramente buono peccato che il condimento non fosse all'altezza. Pizza porcini in cui i porcini era invisibili e se nel complesso sapore accettabile di porcini non sapevano. Un'altra porcini e salsiccia. Idem come sopra e la salsiccia era talmente poca due pizzichi letteralmente . Davvero un peccato. Crema catalana nella media sapeva eccessivamente di uovo ma nel complesso buona. Rapporto qualità prezzo ... un pò alto il prezzo della pizza considerando il condimento e la grandezza della pizza stessa. Buono per una cena al volo come è successo a noi , non ci tornerei...

Servizio scadente, la maggior parte del personale è poco cortese e sembra che ti fanno un favore a servirti. La cosa più brutta è che si nota subito come vengano preferiti e trattati meglio i clienti “amici” rispetto ai turisti. Si mangia tra schiamazzi di bambini che corrono e urlano tra i tavoli senza che nessuno intervenga. La cosa più fastidiosa è che di 6 pizze prese ben 2 avevano un buco al centro magicamente coperto con condimenti e le altre 4 erano grosse come una pizzetta. I prezzi restano esagerati rispetto alla quantità ed al servizio offerto. Sinceramente non torneremo i più in questo paese e...
