We travelled from Rome to Bologna, Modena to Venice, and ate our way through it all. However this little family owned restaurant in a tiny town of 100, won us over. Everything from the house wine (Sangiovese) to seasonal veggies, pasta, desserts and meat, are prepared with over 120 years of experience. How many restaurants have survived since 1900? It takes great food, great service, and consistent perfection to achieve the legendary reputation. While they speak little English, they have an English menu and enough options to please even the vegetarians. The best part of eating organic, seasonal food made by an Italian grandma, is the price, so reasonable you’d be hard pressed to not many of the gems on the menu. Danilo la posta, owner and server, is hilarious and greets everyone, even foreigners, with a lot of love. Locals love and recommend this place and perhaps May prefer this restaurant remains a local secret.

We are vegetarians from US and the food was great, service was amazing, and you can’t ask for much better atmosphere. We sat outside in the evening and had the most perfect meal. Laughed enjoyed ourselves this dinner made our trip to Tuscany. We tried almost everything that was vegetarian, the cheese ravioli with cinnamon and sugar really compliments the tomato pasta well it’s a magical pairing. We got 3 desserts and all 3 were delicious each providing much different taste. The bruschetta almost brings tears to your eyes it’s so good. The tempura fruit is awesome especially when you get an apple or a lemon.

Trattoria la Posta, Semproniano Mi sono fermato per la prima volta in questa simpatica e pittoresca trattoria e devo dire che ne sono rimasto veramente contento sia per le buone portate l’ottimo vino, ma soprattutto per la familiarità e la disponibilità di tutto lo staff che la gestisce a soddisfare al meglio i clienti. Al proprietario non manca la simpatia veramente eccezionale e la volontà di fare una buona chiacchierata tra amici facendoli sentire come a casa loro. Sicuramente se mi capita ancora di far visita in questa zona veramente bella della Toscana non mancherò di ritornarci Se capita di essere in zona, il bellissimo Borgo di Semproniano e la Trattoria la Posta sicuramente meritano una visita. Trattoria la Posta, Semproniano I stopped for the first time in this nice and picturesque trattoria and I must say that I was really happy both for the good wine and the excellent wine, but above all for the familiarity and the availability of all the staff that manages it to satisfy the better customers. The owner does not lack the truly exceptional sympathy and the desire to have a good chat with friends making them feel at home. Surely if I still visit this really beautiful area of Tuscany I will not fail to return If you happen to be in the area, the beautiful village of Semproniano and the Trattoria La Posta certainly deserve a visit.

A michelin star retaurrant rated in 2018 and many years prior. Google maps did not have this place listed as in italy there is an issue. Restarants trattorias and osterias are not grouped together and in my opinion they should be.Well trust me if you are within 1 hour drive (but call first they have had closed days other than just monday) of this restaurant its a must place to dine. The homeade pasta with wild boar sauce is a must and the best i ever had anywhere. Wine water 1st 2nd course with a salad it would be hard to spend over 30 euro. For a restaurant of this quality its a bargain. If you just had a pasta dish and wine and salad you would be about 15 euro. Again for a michelin rated restaurant this of course probably does not exist anywhere so its a heck of a find. Tell them Giorgio the americano sent you. Oh and by the way in one of the photos you will see Caesar a local truffle hunter stopped and sold his truffles to the restaurant. Wow look at his find. By the way these are pictures of half porrions of wild boar sauce with papperdelle pasta and agnello/lamb roasted. And let me tell you i am not a huge fan of rosemary and they use it as a hint in the background and its not overpowering in...

Rustic AUTHENTIC home made Tuscany Countryside food with wild boar, wild rabbit (hare) and of course all the other classic traditional dishes. I took “pappardelle with wild rabbit ragù” and “slow cooked cinghiale (wild boar) with olives and polenta”, plus fried “porcini mushrooms” that were light fried and crispy. All fabulous and delicious. … i can dearly recommend this family run “trattoria” that has made food since the end of 1800ac. Considering the great quality of the food, prices are appropriate and definitely worth it. … This was my first experience in this restaurant and when ever i will be back to Saturnia i will surely come back for more of their great genuine made food. … Highly recommended to friends and anyone that loves authentic rustic Italian...
