Beautiful location - very impressive. Nice restaurant with a romantic touch. The food is good but not exceptional. The service is very friendly and fast. However i prefer the traditional, good artisanal tuscan cuisine that can be found in most restaurants in the area. The pasta was way too “al dente” for my taste, something I have never eaten in any Italian restaurant before, but the sauce was very good. The meet was tender and juicy. Don‘t eat the salad - very boring. And unfortunately you don't have a classic Espresso. In summery very nice but not as great as all the reviews would lead you...

luogo incantevole, il ristorante è assolutamente in linea con l'Abbadia che lo ospita. ottimo servizio, gentilezza ed ospitalità eccellenti. ma, il cibo al di là della buona qualità, non risponde ai nostri gusti. la presentazione, bellissima, non risponde al gusto. Spesso i piatti sono insipidi anche per chi non aggiunge sale nella sua cucina, la preparazione e l' impanatura del supplì ad esempio è troppo dura, il condimento degli gnocchetti con la ricciola è tristemente una brodaglia neanche di un buon sapore che toglie merito al pesce che in genere è molto buono. Il tagliere dei formaggi Putzulu presentato come un caseificio locale e artigiano, noi del luogo sappiamo che purtroppo la famiglia è stata comprata da un marchio industriale e non risponde più alla sua iniziale qualità. Detto questo, pur asserendo che il.gusto è una questione personale , non troviamo la rispondenza con il prezzo , a nostro avviso esageratamente alto per l'offerta. Buona la carta dei vini

Gentile direzione la vostra risposta ci lascia oltre modo basiti. da parte mia non ci sono state offese tali da ricevere accuse personali peraltro, come ha fatto lei. La nostra recensione inizia con lode alla disponibilità e gentilezza da parte sua e di tutto il personale. Se il cibo non è stato di nostro gradimento lo abbiamo sottolineato dicendo che appunto i gusti non si discutono, e sui formaggi è stata lei a fare il nome del caseificio Putzulu, casa di mia profonda conoscenza. Detto questo non sto a giustificare il mio, dico solo che se ci si mette su un social si deve essere pronti alla critica. E se tra tante , tantissime recensioni positive, ne spiccano solo due negative, il sospetto che alcune delle altre siano di amici e...

I think that the setting is gorgeous. The building, the site, the old monastery, all that is great. The food was a hit and a miss. I think it is a bit overpriced for the food they offer. My short rib was way worse than I myself make it, and that’s saying something. Their tomatoes were delicious, but I do not need to go to a restaurant and pay those prices to eat good tomatoes. We had such a lovely time! We got the lamb and it was absolutely delicious, we shared the pie and the pear for dessert and they were probably the best desserts we’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere was so beautiful, and elegant while feeling fun. The staff was AMAZING! Mickel was a great host and super accommodating and so welcoming. Our food came fast and we didn’t have to wait for anything! Next time in Tuscany for sure make a stop at Fondo, we for sure will again!

Everything was amazing from the home cooked gressini and bread (best one I had in Tuscany) to the service. I had the lamb with apricot which was cooked to perfection, as soft as butter and my partner had the pasta with white ragu. We finished with a Fondo di caffe, impressing presentation and perfect way to end a meal. I definitely recommend to anyone passing by.

Everything was amazing from the home cooked gressini and bread (best one I had in Tuscany) to the service. I had the lamb with apricot which was cooked to perfection, as soft as butter and my partner had the pasta with white ragu.
