Staff is rude to immigrants. They have totally different approach for immigrants coming to restaurant and behave badly. Such a bad restaurant to visit. Explore other options in Cita Del Pieve they are far better in service & Food.

Reply to Your Justification.

Good morning! I appreciate your prompt response to my previous message. However, I would like to clarify that my visit to your restaurant did take place last week, and I wanted to share my experience in detail.

Upon arrival with my partner, we were disappointed to find that there was no one available to attend to us initially. Despite the majority of tables being unoccupied, we were informed that there was no space available for just the two of us. This was surprising, as we noticed that other customers were being offered tables at the same time.

To add to our confusion, the staff member we spoke to specifically mentioned that there was no room, not even at the bar. It is important to note that we had previously called to inquire about reservations, and we were assured that there would be space for us. This conflicting information left us feeling frustrated and unwelcome.

Considering the circumstances, it was disheartening to observe that customers of other nationalities were promptly seated while a significant number of tables remained unoccupied, including outdoor seating options. We even expressed our willingness to sit outside, but this request was denied. This differential treatment based on nationality has led me to question the fairness and inclusivity of your establishment.

I understand that your previous reviews have spoken highly of your restaurant, which is why I was initially eager to dine at your establishment. However, the experience I encountered left me with the impression of a discriminatory approach toward customers from certain backgrounds.

I wanted to bring this matter to your attention as I believe it is important to address any potential misunderstandings and ensure that all customers are treated fairly and equally. I genuinely hope that this incident was an isolated occurrence and not reflective of the values and principles your restaurant upholds.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my concerns. I look forward to your response and a resolution that promotes a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers.

After reading the reviews, I was really excited to come here with my partner. As much as the service & location was great, unfortunately the food we were served was a real let down - especially for the price we paid.

We wanted the true experience, so went with the chefs menu. The first 2 courses were pretty good, small, but well put together. Our main course though was very disappointing, quite literally 2 slices of cold meat.

I looked around and noticed many guests enjoying juicy slow cooked beef, pastas, or raviolis. I was confused why this was the choice for our main.

40 mins after our main, we received our desert - that was also a small, cold slice of soggy cake. Just quite underwhelming when I noticed the other deserts on offer & being ordered around the restaurant.

Being travellers - this was our splurge night out, and spending over $140 Euro, we are just a little disappointed in what was given us (we are both leaving a little hungry).

The service & location was amazing. They did mention they were busy… I guess we just got unlucky with our experience.

I will note - the wines...

The husband and I came here for lunch at the recommendation of the Lonely Planet as “modern Italian” cuisine. We were given a table in the sun room, which didn’t have proper ventilation or air conditioning, and had large cobwebs and dust. I asked if we could be moved to a table out of the sun, where it was considerably cooler, and showed him the table. He said that table was reserved. That was not true, as no one showed up while we were there. We had a salad, which had no dressing or seasoning (basic); spaghetti with shrimp, were spaghetti tasted and looked like it was mass produced, and I expected it to be made from scratch, although the sauce tasted good; and grilled sea bass, which came with raw diced peach, so not very imaginative. The sea bass tasted good, but overall we left disappointed and...

A delightful new take on the Tuscany experience from the wonderful Dutch duo, Lieke and Boet. Started with sunset drinks on the picturesque terrace and continue inside where the lingering sunset made for a beautiful backdrop to dinner. The hyperlocal experience is brought to light as Lieke points out where the ingredients for your dinner were sourced, starting with the Enoteca’s selection of wines from Palazzo Vecchio- a winery with vineyards visible right from your table. A definite must-stop on a tour of the Montepulciano region. My only complaint- that I can’t come back tomorrow.

This is one of my favorite places in Tuscany. The view is amazing and so is the vibe. Calm music, warm feel. Sunshine in the kitchen used to make the best Italian food I have ever had but the new chef follows him nicely. Do the wine pairing to understand the cellar that you can see from the restaurant, the owner of both places took the time and patiently explained all the wines. Summer 2023 update: If they keep up the amazing kitchen work, this place will be on the Michelin list soon. Also nice to be served by the owner of the vineyard.
