Ristorante Pizzeria Le Macine — Restaurant in Unione dei Comuni Valdichiana Senese

Hi guys! We were exploring Tuscany and accidentally I have found this restaurant on google maps. Amazing reviews took us to this place. However, we were not allowed to sit outside, where we can see the Tuscany views. The waitress said it was because of the rain, but there was no rain outside (and you can see it in my photo). The restaurant inside is very dark, it has very little amount of light. We were planning to order pizza (because of the reviews), but they don't have pizza. We have ordered two dishes of gnocchi. They were average, and have some plastic taste. The cappuccino and American were okay. The positive moment is a very-very friendly and quick waitress. So I would rather not recommend this place,...

A real hidden gem! We were looking for a pizza take out and found this restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and asked if we could have pizza for take out, the waiters asked the chef and he was more then happy to make us two pizzas! We got turned away by another restaurant before coming here. While waiting the waiters were very friendly! It’s a shame we found this place on the last day of our holiday because it has a stunning view as well! Next time we are on holiday here we will come back! We dined her twice at lunch during our stay in the area. We were blown away by the warm welcome, fantastic food and super reasonable prices. From the shrimp appetizer to the house wine to our pasta dishes, we were delighted with our meals. The gigantica pasta with porcini and truffles was a mushroom lovers idea of heaven. The pasta with clams and pistachio was so good, I ordered it again on our second visit. At 6€, the 1/2 liter house wine was easy to drink and a great deal.
