Osteria dello Stufato — Restaurant in Unione dell'Appennino Bolognese

We were trying to dine at another 2 other Antico restaurants in the hills around the nature reserve. A twist of fate (and 2 very packed restaurants) had us stumbling to this humble little place.

The restaurant looked simple and unpretentious. The food was amazing! Being Asians, we are not used to eating pasta without toppings.. but the tagliatelle here was soooo goood! It was just plain tagliatella tossed in seasoned oil with white truffle shavings. Portion was perfect and we finally understood why the Italians are so proud of their fresh made pastas 😆 we also had the lamb chops and crescentine, all real good too! We stopped here on our way from Bologna airport to Montalcino. Just off the motorway so we didn’t have to go out of our way to get there. We were 5 couples without a booking but the very friendly owner Francesco took us in gracefully. The food was excellent, we left it all up to him to feed us and he didn’t disappoint. Mi spiace se non ho foto ma essendo a pranzo con parenti c'è chi rompe, Eravamo in 14, come antipasto crescentine affettato, ragazzi voi non avete idea di cosa sono le crescentine! Buonissime fragranti non unte, dovete provarle!poi abbiamo preso diversi primi io personalmente ho preso le tagliatelle con tartufo bianchetto buonissime, poi ho assaggiato dagli altri commensali i tortelloni con i carciofi particolari e gustosi, i tortelli di patate e mortadella con pancetta radicchio molto particolari saporiti e buonissimi, e tortellini in brodo piccolissimi buonissimi e in un brodo ad doc! Come secondi ci siamo divisi stinco, grigliata mista, verdure alla griglia patate al forno, che dire tutto cotto alla perfezione 🤤 sul tavolo non è rimasto nulla nemmeno le tigelle che ti portano come pane. Però non è finita la ciliegina sulla torta i dolci, io ho preso la crema di mascarpone con salame di cioccolato la dovete provare!!!
