Il Rifugio Dei Golosi — Restaurant in Unione della Romagna Faentina

One of the best restaurants here around. I'm usually living abroad, between Germany and now Switzerland, but it's always a pleasure to come back home and go everytime to Rifugio del Goloso. Really italian food, starting with antipasti full of Italian salami, speck, prosciutto, fresh and old cheese, marmalade, etc; pasta like tortelli, garganelli, tagliatelle and the sauces are really from Italian recipes (not like the typical "bolognese" that people abroad is cooking, please! 😂); great meat as second course, and fantastic desserts as well. For a complete Italian style, they even have a full tasty Italian espresso, and at the end free digestives like Limoncello, Meloncino, Bananino, grappa, etc.. Really, great food. Price for all these portion per person? Well, considering such a big menu and that I took another "meal" at home since the quantity for really a lot, the price for all of this was 34.50€. It's sure fair for such a big dinner - and the single plates are usually not expensive. Stuff? Wonderfully friendly! Waiters seem happy and are smiling, everytime ready to serve you even if they are under stress because of all the people going every evening there. Toilets clean. I don't know if they have WiFi in there, didn't look for it - if not, I recommend them to have one.

Una vera sorpresa, uhao davvero! Non parlo della location, che è nella norma, ma del cibo: veramente eccellente. Siamo andati in questo locale su suggerimento di amici e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo scelto il “Menù del Goloso” (27€ a persona) che comprende antipasti, un tris di primi, grigliata mista di carne, un contorno a scelta, caffè e amari. Il coperto costa 3€, bevande escluse. Appena arrivati, ci hanno accompagnati al tavolo, il locale era pieno. Una cameriera ci ha subito chiesto cosa volevamo da bere e poco dopo è arrivata la persona per prendere l’ordinazione. La scelta del menù fisso si è rivelata azzeccata: ci ha permesso di assaggiare diverse pietanze senza spendere di più rispetto al menù alla carta. Dopo un’intensa “battaglia” tra amici, abbiamo optato per i seguenti primi: cappelletto romagnolo ai funghi porcini, strozzapreti con panna, speck e rucola, e tagliatelle al ragù. I primi antipasti sono arrivati rapidamente: fette di pane con vari patè. Subito dopo, un generoso vassoio di affettati, formaggi e salsine ci ha conquistato: tutto buonissimo e da leccarsi i baffi. E già con gli antipasti, ero soddisfatto. I tre primi sono stati serviti con pinze per il servizio autonomo. I tortelli (di cui ho mangiato solo due, non amando i funghi) erano ottimi, mentre strozzapreti e tagliatelle li ho gustati volentieri anche con il bis! Non siamo riusciti a finire tutto, ma il cameriere, di sua iniziativa, ci ha proposto delle vaschette per portare via gli avanzi. Un gesto davvero raro e molto gradito! Poi, in piena modalità “abbondanza”, ci sono arrivati due vassoi di carne e quattro contorni: patate al forno, patate saporite, misto dell’orto pastellato e verdure. E che verdure! Mezza melanzana, mezza zucchina, radicchio, tre mezzi pomodori... una ricchezza da far invidia a un orto! Abbiamo mangiato un po’ di tutto, ma abbiamo comunque avanzato. Alla fine ci hanno dato vaschette e perfino due borse per portare via il cibo: una parte l’abbiamo spazzolata la sera stessa! Per concludere in bellezza, ci hanno fatto scegliere il dolce e ci hanno servito il caffè con due bottiglie di liquore: bananino e pistacchio. Che dire? Solo due parole......

One of the best local places to taste typical Italian food! Prices are average, food is delicious and stuff is friendly. 🌞Great pasta and all the dishes (really tasty bolognese pasta), Interesting combination if antipasto plate with cheese, game, Marmelades and fruit.. And also delicious sweets in the end with digestivi shots (you can drink how much you want to!) Great presso coffee (not acid coffee 🙌).

Vegetarian options are possible easily and very tasty! Vegan versions are almost impossible,.. The pasta itself...
