A quiet (too quiet in the good sense!) location to lay back and enjoy the nice and peaceful country side of this part of Italy. Far from the excitement of a city, is an ideal place to spend a few days away from any noise and agitation.||||Pro: Good accommodation, breakfast included, a swimming pool to cool down in summer hot days and very welcoming smiling hosts (congratulations Roberto!) make this small cosy guest house an ideal place for a comfortable stay. The breakfast saloon is really lovely and nicely decorated retro style. Fresh cold sparkling and still water is available here 24/7 for free. The hosts give you the keys for rooms and the main entrance and from here you are on your own. There’s air conditioning in guests rooms. Free Wi-Fi is provided, it works well, even if it has been necessary to restart the local server several times. The room where we were hosted was retro style as well. I have nothing against it, this seems to be the trend now and the general effect is OK.||||Against: I have a kind suggestion for the landlord concerning the wardrobe in that room, see the picture attached: try to replace it. Make it new from fresh wood with an aging appearance only on the outside. Interior of any wardrobe in a 2017 accommodation unit must be nice and clean, not old and shaky. Good quality hangers must be provided. Our wardrobe seemed to be collected from a very poor family who already threw it in the garbage. Then, with a good wash and an exterior paint it was placed in the hotel. If I pay a price per night above average I must have good living conditions, including proper places to store my clothes. In my opinion and in good faith, the wardrobe was the only thing inappropriate.||However, despite this minus, I would be delighted to come back here anytime.||||Tip: to wander around, a car (your own or rented) is needed, as the nearest railroad station is quite far away and I didn’t see too much buses passing through this...

Read moreThe room was rustic, clean, we were given keys, offered water, shown the pool, which was lovely. The anticipated b&b element was somewhat lacking, perhaps b/c we speak v. little Italian- or bc the hosts were not really around. On our last night (we stayed 4 nights) there was a party on the grounds, just below our room, in the grassy area. Music was set up directly below room - it was blaring at 11.20pm, when I had enough and went to complain - if I wanted to stay over a disco I wouldn't have booked a b&b in the bucolic hills in Emilia Romagna. I was informed the music would be going until midnight, if that is ok - no! Please no! My 4 and 7 yr old can't sleep, I cannot sleep over a disco - I could feel the music. Music was turned down. A minimal "sorry" was offered as we left the next morning. I have never had such a terrible/noisy/inappropriate experience at a b&b. I tried to explain that in booking a b&b people want peace and quiet, not a loud thumping bass, and a party that goes on well after 10pm. How naive I was when another guest worried that it might be a late party and I said "Of course they won't be late!" If I were 25, I would have loved it, at 45 with 2 small kids, not so much.||We should have been offered another room early in the day, as the party clearly wasn't spontaneous...sadly, no discount was offered on the accommodation, nor on the dinner at the Osteria of the same night. Dining was ok, overpriced for what we got, dinner didn't arrive as described in the menu, no explanation of why it was different from the menu, espresso was cold- clearly we were not a priority at the restaurant. The 2 restaurants recommended by the Locanda were outstanding, and more reasonably priced - wished we went back to one of these, rather than going to the Osteria.||If you go, make sure they aren't having a party, or bring...
