We were very impressed with the service and attention to hygiene here. The staff here were friendly and all of them wearing a mask (something small but a lot of wait staff at other restaurants seem to have problems wearing their masks properly). They took our information to contact us in case of any COVID detected from the restaurant, and provided hand sanitizer with the card machine. A lot of these things seems basic, but it's something that few restaurants seem to get right, so we were very impressed by this, as it is something important to us and makes a difference to our enjoyment. Another small detail was that we requested to have our beer brought out with the pizza, and this is something again that many places have failed to do even when it was requested. Not only did they bring them out with the food, they even had the glasses chilled (we drink Weiss beer so we get the glass as well as the bottle). On top of all the attention to detail, the staff was also very friendly and made sure that we were well attended to. The pizza was also very good, I ordered pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil, and fresh cherry tomatoes, and this was one of my favourite versions. Abbiamo deciso di tornare in questo ristorante per festeggiare il compleanno del mio compagno. Non era una scelta casuale: proprio lì, tempo fa, avevamo celebrato il mio compleanno e ci eravamo trovati benissimo. Il servizio era stato accogliente, il cibo ottimo e l’atmosfera calda e piacevole. Insomma, ci sembrava il posto perfetto per rivivere un bel ricordo.Purtroppo, questa volta l’esperienza è stata ben diversa. Appena entrati, il “benvenuto” è stato tutt’altro che gentile. La prima cosa che ci è stata detta? Che il nostro cagnolino – un barboncino piccolo e tranquillo – “abbaia”. Non un saluto, non un sorriso. Solo un commento infastidito sul fatto che il cane potesse disturbare. Ma mi chiedo: secondo loro, cosa dovrebbe fare un cane? Parlare? Abbiamo provato comunque a goderci la serata. L’antipasto era davvero buono, niente da dire. Ma già con i piatti principali le cose sono cambiate. Il girello di vitello era così duro da risultare immangiabile. Il risotto alla marinara? Salatissimo, quasi come se il mare l’avessero messo direttamente nel piatto. Il fritto misto, per fortuna, era buono, ma il baccalà (non ricordo se fosse al forno o in umido) emanava un odore così forte da farci passare l’appetito. Era evidentemente andato a male. Abbiamo fatto presente la cosa al personale, ma ci è stato risposto, con tono quasi infastidito, che “è impossibile”. Nessuna scusa, nessuna attenzione. Come se fossimo noi a inventarci tutto.

In conclusione? Una serata che doveva essere una festa è diventata una delusione. È davvero un peccato quando un locale che ti aveva lasciato un bel ricordo, alla seconda occasione, ti delude così tanto. Soprattutto quando manca il rispetto e la disponibilità ad ascoltare il cliente.

Non so se ci torneremo una terza volta. Anzi,...

I like the location. We love the food. We went here twice. One Lunch time and the other one Dinner time. Pasta was really good. Even the 2nd plate with grilled meat. I just didnt like the last time we went there, i ordered Patate al forno, it has an after taste - a taste of an used oil. My friends had the same comment with their fried fish that they had ordered.
