El Caracol is both a restaurant and a hotel. Let's start by me saying: the location is unbelievable. The views are breathtaking. More so, the hosts, a family owned place are kind, hospitable and lovely to be around. The rooms are basic but exactly as should be. The bed is comfortable and the shower is good with hot water and good water pressure. The room is very clean. So, if you are in the area - you won't regret it. As for the restaurant. Boy oh boy did we eat a lot! We started with two pasta dishes, local pasta pesto and ravioli in butter and sage. Both were SO good! Then we shared some lamb chops. There was no need to add salt. It was so tastefully seasoned. On the side we had mixed salad. Yeah, I know, it is a simple salad that everyone can make. Yet, the ingredients were super fresh!
