This place is a must eat if you are in the area. A combination of the food, atmosphere, owner, price, and house wine made our dinner exceptional.
We stumbled across this restaurant while we were out hiking and stopped in for a cappuccino. Using my little a Italian and Google translate, we learned that the he restaurant opened for dinner at 7:30 pm. As this place looked as local as you can get, we made a reservation.
When we arrived, our family of five ordered antipasta for each of us, three pasta dishes, two meat dishes, four desserts, three liters of water, and two bottles of house red. A couple of hours and five stuffed bellies later, I was surprised to see the bill was only €110. We were blown away by the quantity and quality of food (the chestnut ravioli was a surprise favorite) and the hospitality.

Il locale è una casa adibita a ristorante con ambienti grandi e spaziosi ma decisamente datati. Servizio davvero lento, abbiamo aspettato oltre 15 minuti solo per poter chiedere una bottiglia di acqua fresca (venivamo da una visita e da una bella camminata e la temperatura era davvero alta). Il pranzo è durato 2 ore, il menù con pietanze e prezzi inesistente (è stata la signora a riferire a voce le opzioni). L'antipasto consisteva in salumi e frittate (sufficiente), come primo abbiamo preso ravioli di carne al ragù (che era una passata di pomodoro) e per secondo agnello fritto e faraona (sufficienti, ma un po' sapidi). Siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante sabato sera e ne siamo rimasti davvero entusiasti. L’esperienza è stata eccellente sotto ogni aspetto. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto, due primi, un secondo con contorno, vino e acqua, spendendo in totale solo 50€.
Il cibo era delizioso, preparato con semplicità e genuinità: ci è sembrato davvero di mangiare a casa della nonna.
Il ristorante è a conduzione familiare e la proprietaria, molto gentile, ci ha raccontato con orgoglio la storia del locale, avviato anni fa dalla nonna e oggi gestito da lei insieme alla figlia.
Un posto autentico, dove si respira passione e si mangia benissimo. Torneremo...
