Ristorante Un'Ottima Annata — Restaurant in Unione di comuni Montana Lunigiana

My wife and I were renting locally for a week and she found this restaurant on trip advisor. We were surprised to find a place this good so close since we were quite off the beaten path. The restaurant and B&B are run by a couple relocated from Rome in the past 2 year's and the chef is the wife's brother who has worked internationally. As for the restaurant, both the indoor and outdoor space are lovely. We had dinner outdoors one night, four of us, and each were really pleased with our meals. We asked for a wine recomendation and thought the bottle we ended up ordering was delicious. Also, you probably don't want to skip the desert. Service was perfect and we had a lovely time chatting with the owners. We initiated the conversation and are sure it would have been equally comfortable to have dined privately. I booked this property expecting a comfortable stay, but upon arrival, I discovered there was no air conditioning in my room – something that was never clearly disclosed in the listing. With 36°C outside, the room was unbearably hot and impossible to sleep in.

When I requested to cancel my second night and get a refund for the unused night, the owner told me they would only refund if I left a 10/10 review – this is blatant review manipulation and a violation of Booking.com policies.

Their tone was rude and dismissive, even blaming me for “choosing the wrong room to save money” (completely untrue) and accusing me of manipulation. Instead of offering any understanding or customer care, they tried to shift all the blame on me.

This property’s management has zero respect for guests and is willing to withhold refunds unless you give them fake positive reviews. I strongly advise anyone considering this place to avoid it at all costs. There are many honest and professional accommodations nearby – choose one of them instead.

Avevo prenotato questa struttura aspettandomi un soggiorno confortevole, ma al mio arrivo ho scoperto che nella mia camera non c’era aria condizionata – un’informazione mai chiaramente indicata nell’annuncio. Con 36°C all’esterno, la camera era invivibile e impossibile dormirci.

Quando ho chiesto di cancellare la seconda notte e ricevere il rimborso per quella non utilizzata, il proprietario mi ha detto che mi avrebbe rimborsato solo se avessi lasciato una recensione 10/10 – questo è un chiaro tentativo di manipolazione delle recensioni e una violazione delle politiche di Booking.com.

Il loro atteggiamento è stato scortese e offensivo: mi hanno accusato falsamente di aver “scelto la stanza sbagliata per risparmiare” e addirittura di manipolare, invece di offrire comprensione o assistenza.

La gestione di questa struttura non ha alcun rispetto per gli ospiti ed è disposta a negare i rimborsi se non lasci recensioni false e positive. We went there to have dinner and it was just perfect! Beautiful house with great dining hall/cave and great bar. You can also sit outside in a really nice yard, everything is beautifully decorated. The B&B and restaurant is a family business and you feel that. Everything is cooked, arranged and made with love. The food (e.g. Italian cheese platter, avocado mango salad, tagliata, fresh pasta, gnocchi, tiramisu...) was outstanding and authentic - just delicious!
