We are staying here on a recommendation. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We did the balsamic and wine tasting upon arrival. I knew nothing about balsamic production, but gained a wealth of knowledge in the tasting and tour. We had lunch first including Lambrusco, risotto with prawns, tortilinis, and vanilla icecream with balsamic on top over a bit of crumple. We spent the afternoon at the infinity pool and had it nearly to ourselves. We had Spritz Emillianos which is Aperol and Lambrusco over ice in a large goblet glass. Very tasty and good for the pool day drinking. We look forward to dinner tonight.

The room is overall good especially the price is fair considering the design and space. However, the hot water is an issue. I waited 5 minutes for hot water during night. The design of the bathroom is also strange, that you’ll get so wet around the toilet seat after showering, which was pretty dangerous that I almost fell onto the hard ground. The duck from the dinner cuisines tastes good, very delightful taste with a good cook of the skin. However, the rest are not that good in my humble opinion. The front desk is super nice and kind, thank you lady.

Parcheggio comodo al ridosso del ristorante, ci accolgono fuori con vista spettacolare tra le colline di Castelvetro e Levizzano, ci fanno sedere ad un tavolo esterno un po' traballante, caldo afoso causato probabilmente dalle tende da sole scure e non chiare. (giornata al quanto sfosa se c'era più vento si sarebbe stato molto meglio). Entrèe delizioso bollicine a calice deciso per un pranzo afoso, antipasto bomboloni di baccalà (molto buoni) e calzagatti buonini ricotta insapore fin troppo delicati per i nostri palati meridionali. I primi: passatelli ottimi piatti scarsini (ma capiamo il palato gourmet del ristorante) ravioli (per noi tortelloni) buonini, mangiati di migliori il condimento ottimo con basilico che dava sapore un po' a tutto presente anche nei calzagatti di prima. "buono". Di secondo ci siamo divisi l'Antrata protagonista della mangiata veramente deliziosa, poco da dire. Piatto sempre piccolo ma capiamo lo standard del locale. Vini san giovese nome: "la strada" consigliatissimo forse un po' troppo per i piatti delicati assaggiati e Malbo da provare penso giusto per i piatti assaporati. Dolce gelato all'aceto balsamo ottimo (avrei aggiunto più aceto balsamico). Nocino delizioso. Peccato grosso, le tende non coprivano totalmente dal sole e infatti ci siamo dovuti spostare più volte con il tavolo. Qualità prezzo discutibile se non fosse per il panorama 60/70€ a testa. Io del posto consiglio, ma non ci verrò una seconda volta. Posto più per turisti. O per celebrazioni con impatto più scenico che altro. Personale cordiale e disponibile.

We had around 80 guests here for lunch, balsamic vinegar and wine tasting, in the week leading up to our wedding.

The good: the food and wine are of excellent quality; the views are amazing, and the waiters and those giving us the tour were friendly, professional, and competent.

The bad: We had a truly terrible experience working with the “events and operations manager” at Opera02 that really soured the whole experience. She acted like it was a huge inconvenience that we were bringing in customers, asked us to change our guests’ meal selections because it was too complicated (even though she was the one who had proposed the menus in the first place), made us pay in advance for the entire bill of all our guests instead of having each of them pay, although they had the ability to do so, and she had my husband act as a “tour operator” to help them manage the lunch and tasting (she herself did not show up).

If you are a very small group or 1-2 people just going for lunch, I would recommend this spot; if you are a larger group or are planning an event here, I would not...
