We are traveling in Emilia-Romagna and on our way to Fattoria Moretto winery. We searched for a Trattoria Tippiche and chose this gem. We had the Prociutto di Parma con Gnocco fritto to start which was absolutely delicious. The tortellini alla penna were our favorite and the Tortelloni burro e salvia. Everything cooked to perfection and handmade. They also have a beautiful local wine selection. Fantastic service and very welcoming. Charming, casual, rustic, local clientele, excellent food. Accommodating to children. The views are spectacular from the hill where the restaurant is located...no outdoor seating that I saw but they have a portion of the restaurant with very large sliding windows wherewe enjoyed the view on a hot day....

I would often come here as a child with my parents to order tortellini con brodo, and this year I had the chance to do so once again. Without paying too much (€20 per person) I had this traditional local Modenese dish, as well as a generous serving of gnocco fritto, tigelle and all sorts of affettato (plus dessert). Una vera trattoria , con i primi di pasta ripiena fatti da loro, così come gnocco e crescentine. Oggi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di scegliere il tavolo con vista, una vista rivolta ai colli modenesi e un tramonto da cartolina. Il ristorante accoglie circa 100 posti a sedere, tra le sale interne e la veranda. Si possono gustare primi fatti in casa e gnocco crescentine con salumi e formaggi oltre agli umidi e dolci, anch'essi artigianali. Il servizio è cordiale, preciso e accogliente. Il cibo è buono e i prezzi sono proporzionati al prodotto. Lo consiglio. Assicuratevi di prenotare perché spesso è pieno.

A real trattoria, with first courses of stuffed pasta craft made, as well as gnocco and crescentine. Today we were lucky enough to choose the table with a view, a view facing the Modena hills and a postcard sunset. The restaurant can host about 100 seats, between the internal rooms and the veranda. You can taste homemade first courses and crescentine dumplings with cold cuts and cheeses as well as stews and desserts, which are also handcrafted. The service is friendly, accurate and welcoming.
