Ponente — Restaurant in Urbino

My sister and I had dinner at Ponente 8 months ago and I still think about it. (Enough so that I’m compelled to finally submit this review.) We made a reservation well in advance for dinner one night in October, and it turned out we were the only one for the entire evening. Rather than canceling our reservation, they opened just for us. Ponente is an amazing restaurant. The service was really professional and the food was delicious. You get a nice glass of prosecco to start with some super tasty bread. There is a perfect amount of dishes to choose from and a great selection of wines from different regions of Italy. The restaurant is really high-end with thought-through decoration and outstanding quality of cutlery, plates, etc (matching the dishes). We really loved it. Grazie...

Una cena da Ponente è un’esperienza che va ben oltre il semplice mangiare fuori: è un viaggio nei sapori e nella bellezza autentica del territorio. Il locale regala un panorama davvero mozzafiato, con il tramonto che si apre sull’orizzonte della catena appenninica Umbro-Marchigiana, avvolto da luci soffuse e da un’atmosfera intima e rilassante. Ogni dettaglio contribuisce a rendere la serata semplicemente indimenticabile.

La cucina è curata con attenzione e passione: piatti realizzati con materie prime eccellenti, abbinamenti raffinati e mai scontati, sapori equilibrati e leggeri che sorprendono il palato senza mai appesantirlo. Dall’antipasto al dolce, ogni portata è stata una piccola esperienza di gusto.

Un grazie speciale a Giorgia e Francesco per l’accoglienza calorosa e la professionalità con cui ci hanno fatti sentire a casa. Tutto il personale di sala è stato attento e cortese, e voglio dedicare una menzione particolare a Vittoria, che con la sua dolcezza e cura ci ha davvero coccolati.
