La Littorina del Mincio — Restaurant in Valeggio sul Mincio

We visited the place during our shorz holiday at lake Garda. Our primary objective was to rent the bicycles. We arrived at 12:00 and without reservation on a sunny holiday didn’t get the bikes immediately which is understandable. After a two hour wait which is not difficult with a lovely playground for kids and a nice bar for parents we got our bicycles and went on a beautifuly tour on the bank of river Mincio. After we returned the bicycles we wanted to grab a bite to eat but at that time they didn’t serve food which was a bit disappointing but I guess one has to consider this when in Italy. It’s with a heavy heart I leave such a mixed review! The location; beautiful. Perfect playground for the kids to play in. Quick to seat and take order. That’s the positives. There is no air con! So 33 degrees without air on is an uncomfortable meal. My children were sweating before the meals even arrived. 40 minute wait for food. Pizza for kids and mixed meat for us. Had dinner here tonight with my family and we loved it. Firstly the waitress was so friendly and funny. She makes you feel welcome and is so sweet. The restaurant itself is nice and they have a great playground for the kids. The parents can relax and watch their kids through the large glass windows all while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
