Strange experience. We stopped by on the way to Pisa for a quick lunch. We had two meals 10 Euros each, one water and two coffees. They changed us 33 Euros.. when my boyfriend asked why they're charging us 8 euros more, they said that it's for couvert. When we said that it would still be additional 4 euros, they got really unpleasant, an older man who worked there started shouting something like 'stranieri' and they dramatically brought us the reminding money. We left it there anyway as we wanted to leave some tip and the whole situation was so theatrical that we just wanted to get out of there. Terrible food and overpriced. We paid €61 for a shared starter and two main courses with a side dish each. Plus wine and water. They didn't have the boar they advertise. So my husband went for the pork, which was very salty. I had the shrimp, but they tasted fishy and definitely weren't fresh. I had a radicchio "salad" with it, it was only cut up radicchio in a bowl. €4 euros they dared ask for it. It's horrible! I think the only thing they do well is fried food. Passati per caso a pranzo, si è rivelato una vera sorpresa. La sala è pulita e curata, presente nel menù una scelta sia di mare che di terra. Abbiamo optato per la seconda e devo dire, che i piatti ordinati sono stati eseguiti molto molto bene!!! 😋 i 2 taglieri misti, oltre ad ottimi salumi, contenevano vari tipi di crostini veramente gustosi!!! La polenta fritta che accompagnava i 2 taglieri era qualcosa di spettacolare, tanto che ne abbiamo ordinata un altro piattone!!!! Pappardelle al cinghiale e cinghiale accomodato, cucinati, a mio modesto parere in modo eccelso, con un profumo spettacolare dato belle fogliolone di alloro messo in cottura👍 come ricetta comanda!!! Per finire in dolcezza, torta cioccolato e pere e torta di mele, di loro produzione, entrambe veramente buone!! Il servizio è svolto splendidamente, con molta cortesia e professionalità.
