I have eaten several time in this fantastic restaurant. Better to go there early, a little bit before the sunset because, if the day is clear, from the terrace you can enjoy a unique sunset over Venice. If you are visiting Venice, take a vaporetto to the Lido between 3-4 p.m and once there the bus n.11. The trip itself to the small Pellestrina island is a beautiful one. If you arrive a little bit earlier, take a stroll, watch the lagoon and the special little boats used to fish clams. Once at Celeste, let Graziano guide you. They serve fresh, local fish only, so depending on the season, you will have diffrent beautiful surprises. Two amazing starters (very traditional Venitian food) though are always available and you must try them: Baccala mantecato (creamy codfish) and polenta e schie (schie are very small shrimps from the lagoon). the price of the food is correct (around 50 euros, depending on how many courses you will have). There is not much choice for the wine but prosecco wine with fish is a match made in heaven so why to look for...

This has been well reviewed but we found it nothing special. When we arrived, no one took any notice of us. In the end, we had to stop a waiter and ask to be shown to our table. The food was ok but nothing to rave about. I asked a waiter for a wine recommendation which turned out to be a mistake, but that happens. It was packed but there aren’t many restaurants in Pellestrina so not much choice. We had no sense of our custom being appreciated. Questo ristorante 🍽 rappresenta davvero il meglio che potessimo trovare a Pellestrina, sia in termini di qualità e servizio che di location. Giunti sul posto verso le 13.00 🕐 previa prenotazione 📞, ci siamo accomodati subito al nostro tavolo presso lo splendido terrazzo esterno (una delle tipiche piattaforme a mo' di palafitta diffuse in zona). In breve abbiamo ordinato da bere (acqua 💧 e mezzo litro di vino bianco fermo 🥂) e sfogliato il menù 📋; buona la varietà di proposte, tutte sfiziose e assai invitanti. Alla fine abbiamo optato per due primi (gnocchetti agli scampi e spaghetti 🍝 con orata, zucchine 🥒 e datterini 🍅) e due secondi piatti (grigliata di pesce 🐟 e frittura mista 🍤), seguiti poi da un paio di caffè ☕ a fine pasto. Tutto davvero delizioso 😋, sia per qualità delle materie prime che per la cura nella preparazione. Degna di nota in particolare la mia frittura, peraltro asciutta e leggera, vista la presenza di "mini anelli" in luogo di quelli di maggior dimensioni che si trovano solitamente in portate di questo tipo. Valido il servizio e molto gentili i membri dello staff, tra l'altro accorti e disponibili nel comprendere le esigenze del nostro amico a quattro zampe 🐶. Simpatico e cordiale il titolare, con il quale abbiamo pure scambiato qualche parola al tavolo. I prezzi (78 euro 💶 il totale) sono di fascia medio/alta, ma senz'altro equi in rapporto alla qualità offerta. Bagni 🚾🚽 puliti e in ordine 🧻🧴. LO CONSIGLIO senza ombra di dubbio 👍.
