Bar — Restaurant in Verona

This place is FANTASTIC!!!! After making the rounds of Verona which has truly become an inauthentic tourist trap, this place is the stuff of dreams! We saw the sign for 'cotecchino e peara' a truly genuine typical dish of Verona, and that was it, we had to stop! We were not disappointed. The authenticity made me want to cry. It will not be everyone's cup of tea but I can assure you, after having lived for five years in Verona 30 years ago...this is the real deal with abundant portions, delicious traditional dishes and the cottecchinone peara....to die for!!!

This is a family establishment with the Papa al bar, la Mamma stupenda in cucina and the bubbly, Katrina serving. They were so accommodating and professional and so very friendly...the only negative point is that we discovered this little jewel on the last day of our stay in Verona but no problem, we will come back next year and try to eat here as many times as we can fit in! Sto ancora mangiando, ho appena finito il Primo , l'ho scritto in maiuscolo perché Merita il Primo posto , bigoli alla carbonara menù di mezzogiorno, eccellenza italiana a Verona, ripeto non ho ancora finito il menù e pagato è già metto un 10 e Lode alla mamma e la figlia che gestiscono questo locale che è meglio di quando stai a casa tra amici, questa è la Vera Ristorazione Italiana che ci ha fatto diventare il Top nel mondo e adesso siamo caduti nell'industria del cibo ... Ma non qui , posto...

Che dire ??? Una vera osteria come quelle di una volta ... si mangia quello che passa il convento ... ma questo significa qualità cortesia e quel buon ambiente inclusivo e solidale che la ristorazione moderna ormai non sa più dare.
