Unexpectedly but very pleasantly surprised, definitely we did not see this coming. Great choice of dishes combined set menu (a big one) as well as daily specials based on the season and whatever fresh is available. Serving both vegetarian and carnivores such as myself while able to please children (age 9 and 13) Excellent spicy mussels, fried seafood for kids, citronella linguine and some more made my tummy smile. I am about to dive into tiramisu and wife digging into cheese cake (pistachio) as I type this. Turns out it is a family business where big mama creating mind blowing recipes behind closed doors and daughter with fluent english serving the dishes proudly and introducing in detail. Stopped for dinner here after a long drive with very low expectations and it was incredibly good! There was a lovely woman serving us, who took the time to explain the menu and the food was so fresh, so well cooked and felt a bit ‘different’ to your usual fare. Good and quite sophisticated food for such a small town. You have to appreciate the flexibility in the kitchen (dishes adapted to us, some ingredients changed). The lady who served us was very helpful. she explained the ingredients of individual dishes and provided information on the directions of our local sightseeing.
