L'Oste di Vicchio — Restaurant in Vicchio

We chose this restaurant based on the reviews. At the time, there were three five star reviews. The server was friendly and pleasant. However, the food was a disappointment. We began with a selection of cheeses with honey and jam. The platter had to go back because there was a hair on a piece of cheese. When the dish returned, the cheeses were boring and tasted all too similar. The peposo was cold. Another server that collected the peposo questioned the temperature of the stew?!?! As if, I don’t know what cold food tastes like. My husband (who tasted the peposo) also confirmed it was cold. And, there was nothing memorable about it because it didn’t have much flavor. They may have forgotten to add the red wine. The roasted potatoes were obviously leftovers and reheated. The pasta with meat sauce was greasy and also lacked flavor. Midispiace lasciare questa pessima recensione, ma ci voleva… abbiamo preso le pappardelle ed erano inzuppate con l’olio e senza sale e con un intero pezzo di aglio enorme, praticamente mangiavi più olio che pasta, anche perché le porzioni erano baby nel vero senso della parola… fatto notare al cameriere e la risposta “ah ok”… l’unica cosa i funghi non erano male…...
