🌟 If someone had told me in the morning that I would end the day in a fairytale — I wouldn’t have believed it.

After 10 hours on the road, I arrived in a small Italian town, booked a hotel, and drove through narrow streets to find it. Eventually, I reached the Castagni complex — and that’s when the magic began.

I was warmly welcomed by the incredibly kind and friendly hostess. She showed me my room (absolutely beautiful!), walked me through the garden, showed the pool, the restaurant… We agreed I’d come for dinner in the evening.

And then — the evening came. I walked into the restaurant… And I couldn’t believe what I saw: the waitress didn’t just explain the menu — she sang it. And the hostess introduced each course like a scene from a culinary theatre.

Each dish was a masterpiece of flavor and imagination. I don’t know who the chef is — but he’s a genius. Every bite was stunning. Each wine matched the dish in perfect harmony. You can feel the soul they’ve put into everything.

You’re not just eating. You’re experiencing. You’re awakening.

Even if you’re alone — here, you never feel lonely. This place feels tuned to inner peace. You feel like someone is holding your hand, whispering: “You’re home.”

And then came dessert. And then — a collection of Armagnac, starting from 1945… I chose the 1947. 45 euros — that’s not a price. That’s the taste of time. The energy of post-war Europe, captured in a crystal glass. It doesn’t burn — it unfolds. It speaks to you. And suddenly, you understand something deeper about yourself and life.

Potrei dire wow! Ho scelto questo ristorante con 1 stella Michelin per regalare un’esperienza culinaria al mio fidanzato e devo dire che sia io che lui siamo rimasti pienamente soddisfatti!

Location carina, immersa nel verde. Appena si arriva al piccolo parcheggio sembra che il ristorante sia chiuso ma basta suonare al portone di ingresso e si verrà accolti dalla proprietaria o da uno dei dipendenti di sala, molto cordiali ed attenti al cliente. Ci hanno fatto accomodare e la ragazza che ci ha accompagnati per tutto il pranzo mi ha offerto un piccolo sgabello su cui appoggiare la borsa. Una chicca.

Abbiamo scelto un menù degustazione con aggiunta di vino (tra le foto il menu). Il menu cambia in base alla stagionalità delle materie prime. Iniziamo l’esperienza con una piccola entree a base di mini frittatina e pane rustico e sfoglie croccanti di loro produzione ed accompagnati da olio. Come primo antipasto una Battuta a coltello di baccalà semicotto e gamberi, patê di ceci al rosmarino e miele, salsa verde Come secondo antipasto un Uovo morbido, passata di fagioli borlotti di Gambolò, cipolla di Breme ripiena di se stessa peperoni e caciocavallo

Bis di primi che prevede Grandi gnocchi di patate ripieni di mozzarella di bufala, trombette ed il loro fiore, delicata salsa di basilico e successivamente Risotto lombardo sicilianocon piccole verdure, origano di Pantelleria, scorza di limone, mantecatura allo stracchino e polvere di capperi di Salina.

Passiamo al secondo con Filetto di maiale nostrano alla piastra, melanzana arrosto e purè di carote all'arancia

Per terminare ci hanno portato una selezione di dolci che prevedeva due sorbetti: uno al limone ed uno al gusto macedonia, molto buoni e rinfrescanti. Infine, pur non avendo preso il caffè, ci hanno offerto una piccola selezione di dolcetti con macaron, arancia gelees, cubetti di salame al cioccolato (incartati) e piccolo biscotto con crema pasticciera al limone.

A fine pranzo eravamo sazi! Lo consiglio assolutamente! Materie prime fresche, buone e piatti ben bilanciati in termini di sapori e...

I have been three times, in the last 6/7 years, to this restaurant of my native town, and I really appreciate its refined, but never pretentious, cuisine. I chose a menu "all fish" this time, made of five courses, and everthing was excellent: I especially liked the delicious appetizer "fried shrimps and squids". The previous times I had chosen some typical menus of the Lomellina zone, composed mainly of goose or pork meat, with the same good results in taste; besides, consider that the quantity of food in the plate is enough for the reasonably glutton customer.
