Prantneralm — Restaurant in Wipptal - Alta Vall'Isarco

Worth the hike (1.5 hours one way) or drive up the dirt road (15 minutes) to this mountain side restaurant. We drove over from Garmish so we could say we went to Italy for lunch ;-) We sat on the deck and enjoyed the spectacular views until the rain came and they helped us move inside the glass sunroom, which had just as good of views of the mountains and valleys. Ordered the charcuterie plate + some beers and coke for appetizers, for lunch the kids got spaghetti and tomato sauce, the Macaroni Hut (which is penne in vodka sauce) and the spaghetti with butter, garlic and tomatoes, the last which was the clear winner, even though other two were great. My husband got the special pasta with beef, speck and mushrooms, and they forgot to place my order, oops, but it totally worked out and I didn't care! The portions were so large that I helped eat everyone else's pasta dishes, and we took two containers home and the kids ate the leftovers for dinner. Definitely drive up here,...

Luogo incantevole .. Abbiamo parchegguati e camminato i 3.5 km in salita per raggiungere questo angolo di paradiso (non c'e' altro modo ahahah se si vuol mangiare li) ma ne e' valsa la pena e guardiamo il lato positivo, abbiamo prebruciato tutto ciò che avremmo mangiato ahahah . A passo costante e incostante con mio figlio c'è voluta un'ora. Porzioni abbondanti e davvero pietanze buone e ben realizzate nella loro semplicita'. Abbiamo apprezzato tutto. Preso : Canederli con insalata mista - Penne al ragù - Tagliatelle al ragù di Lepre - Patate Saltate - Torta Papavero e Mele con Crema (particolare non l'avevano mai mangiata, asciutta, la crema o la panna ci vogliono ..la signora ne ha portata una fetta che era un quarto di torta !! Quindi 1 porzione basta ore 3 o 4 persone ahaha ) - Acqua, Bibita, Mezzo di Rosso della casa, molto buono, e due caffè 44 euro ...direi più che onesto !! E poi pranzare con una vista del genere e' stupendo !! Era una giornata magnifica !! Non ci sentivamo neppure cosi appesantiti, sara l'aria di montagna.. Infine, se si vuole si puo' scende con lo slittino la salita fatta ..noi abbiamo fatto cosi.. ed è stato divertentissimo !!! La proprietaria che ci ha servito, è una signora alla mano fortissima, noleggia gli slittini a 2 euro e poi glieli lasci alla fine della pista. Andateci merita...

Die Alm liegt idyllisch auf dem Berg und nach einer Wanderung dort hoch, freut man sich sehr einzukehren. Leider wurden wir vor Ort maßlos enttäuscht: es war zwar viel los jedoch wurde man nicht einmal von einer einzigen Bedienung willkommen geheißen. Man wurde eher aus dem Weg ‚geschubst’ als angesprochen. Als wir nach 45 min einen Tisch ergattert hatten, mussten wir weitere 45 min vergeblich auf eine Bedienung warten. Wir organisierten uns zwischenzeitlich selbst eine Speisekarte (wobei einer der Bedienungen mir noch über die Füße lief ohne sich zu entschuldigen) und versuchten etwas zu bestellen. Die Dame des Hauses ging bestimmt 20 mal an unserem Tisch vorbei (den sie auch nur ohne ein Wort zu verlieren zur Hälfte vom Vorgänger abräumte). Kein nettes Wort, kein „entschuldigen Sie, bei uns ist heute viel los“ oder „wir sind zu wenig Personal, es dauert heute leider etwas länger“ - nichts der gleichen. Wir kamen uns vor wie lästige Wanderer, die sich auch noch erdreisten, einkehren zu wollen. Nach knapp 2 Stunden sind wir unverrichteter Dinge wieder abgestiegen. Solch eine unterirdische Service-Leistung, die sich an diesem Tag über das Team von mehreren Personen erstreckt und auf die Philosophie der Gastfreundschaft dieser Alm schließen lässt, ist uns noch nicht begegnet....
