The food here was just ok. The setting is lovely and it’s certainly the only restaurant in town but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. We got the antipasti which were fine but consisted mostly of greasy fried dishes, which was cloying after 6 of the same type. I had the meatballs which were filled with ham and cheese and which were much too heavy, and my husband had the veal involtini which were fine but EXTREMELY small. In fact, I would say both dishes were extremely small and poor value given what you can get elsewhere in the area. We also ordered a side salad which didn’t come until well after we had finished our mains, despite us asking several times for it. When we did ask about it’s whereabouts the staff bordered on rude. When it did arrive, it was almost comically small and consisted only of chopped raw tomatoes and four tiny wilted rocket leaves...one of the worst ‘salads’ I’ve had. The service was strange in that it was almost TOO attentive - someone different walked past our table every couple of minutes, saying hello, taking away a dirty plate or fork, but then when we asked about our missing dish they treated us as if it had been our mistake. It seemed very popular and maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes but it was definitely the most disappointed I had been by food in...

Non una delle serate più fortunate per noi e per il ristorante...

Dopo aver pernotato un tavolo in una delle due sale esterne, arriviamo e veniamo messi nell'unica saletta interna del locale...ma va bene! Ci viene data una carta da cui scegliere il cibo, con nessuna indicazione di possibili piatti del giorno (prendiamo un antipasto e un primo - il proprietario non ci ha fatto ordinare il secondo, dicendo di ordinarlo post primo). Pochi minuti dopo sentiamo che ai tavoli vicini al nostro gli vengono descritte delle pietanze del giorno fuori menù decisamente più invitanti di quelle alla carta. Chiediamo spiegazione sul perché ma non ci viene veramente data una... senza neanche scusarsi. Ordino un buon calice di Franciacorta, che mi viene servito in un bicchiere bollente appena uscito dalla lavastoviglie. Fortunatamente mi viene subito cambiato e riversato del nuovo vino. Dopo circa 1.30h dell'ordine dei primi, ripetute richieste al personale sullo stato dell'ordine (seguite da svariati "sta arrivando" senza neanche andare a controllare), la pasta arriva. Facciamo un check al volo per essere sicuri che fosse la pasta ordinata da noi molto tempo prima e la cameriera ci risponde in maniere decisa e chiaramente infastidita con un "si è la vostra!!!", non lasciandoci neanche il tempo di fare mente locale.

Abbiamo cercato di spiegare in maniera del tutto pacata il nostro malcontento per la serie di cose accadute e il fatto che ci siamo sentiti completamente ignorati per tutta la serata ma la cameriera ha avuto difficoltà ad ammettere la loro posizione di torto ed evidente mal gestione del nostro tavolo (tra gli argomenti a difesa c'era il covid, il fatto che le persone stavano lavorando e anche il tempo di cottura della pasta...... ???????). È partita via non salutando nemmeno ma dicendo solo che la cena era offerta dalla casa!

Servizio non ideale e decisamente non all'altezza di molti altri ristoranti salentini dove si può mangiare meglio e passare una piacevole serata.

The worst experience in Salento in the last 3 summers. Pasta con cozze was a joke, we complaint and wasn't charged. Ordered antipasti based on recommendation, we didnt ask for price, it was supposed to be frutti di mare con melanzane, they brought everything else and charged us 50 Eur for 3 people! We ordered a wine from wine list for 14 Eur, they charged 26E, after complaint they reduced the final price but the waiter was shouting on us something and left. The rest of the food was ok but nothing worth to experience. We felt like they took advantage of us as a tourists (even if mia finanzata speaks italian very good). Go...
