So after driving a good distance and with great expectations based on reviews we arrived at the location. Unfortunately it started raining as soon as we pulled up in the parking lot which certainly dudny help to make the experience an better. So i ordered the "Scandalous Loaded Fries" and it did not disappoint cus "Scandalous" is the only way i could describe what was put in front of me.. As a foodie im quite aware of what "loaded Fries" consist of but obvioulsy the chef at blues bistro doesn't know or just decided to cut corners that day. What I expected was handcut fries wuth several types of cheese and sauces with a generous sprinkling of onions and spring onions and protein..what i got instead was supermarket bought stale fries barely covered with liquid fake cheese a very light pinch of onions and a few pieces of tough beef. What's worse is that i ordered extra sauce and onions so i can only imagine what the regular serving looks like. My friend's chicken and fries were basic and we really only ate the food cus we were very hungry.. I alerted one of the servers of my issue and he took the dish back to the kitchen where i overhead him telling the chef that i told him there was not enough meat nor sauce and the chef replied. That"nothing was wrong with the dish" anyway he eventually chopped up some green onions and drizzled a tad more fake cheese sauce. I asked about ranch dressing The server said they didnt have any..see photo of dish after extra sauce and onion was added. Mind you i didnt get any more meat guess theywere out. Food was not cheap i did not get value for my money Very disappointed 1st time doubt there...

My partner and I went to get breakfast here and the experience was horrible. There was a gentleman who took the order and he was rude and not very customer friendly. He got the order wrong and when it was pointed out he was saying that’s not what was ordered. The food itself was poorly prepared. 0/10. We got omelette and pancakes as well as fries suh fried chicken. The chicken was so crisp I could not eat it. The omelette was not good, k don’t know how you spoil omelettes. Needless to say I was going to take to the food with us because I don’t like wasting food so my partner asked for a box. When’s he asked for the box the server rolled her eyes. Can you believe it? She rolled her freaking eyes. She still went for the box and she stood around the counter and stretched the box out. My partner was saying this is unacceptable but it said just let us go. We left the food and the box right there on the table. I am pretty sure if we were people of a lighter color the experience would have been better. Everything was a 0/10. I would definitely not recommend. Extremely poor customer service, poorly food and definitely not worth the drive worse if you’re not coming out...

This place is tucked away in the hills and has the most amazing scenic views on the drive to get there. Once you get there, you realize that the property is inside a Park and you have to pay $400JMD per person to enter...even though you are going to the restaurant and not the Park. It felt to me like i was being asked to pay for the privilge to go and buy food. Which i really did not like....but of course, at that point, you would've already made the long drive there, so you're not left with much of a choice.

Once you enter, you need to go up a really bad hill and fight for parking. Then you head to the restaurant where the food is slighty overpriced and mediocre at best. The view, while nice, was obscured and less than expected...but the worst thing was the flies! I've never seen that many flies in my life...they were EVERYWHERE!!! It was imposible to eat a meal or even sit and enjoy the views without constantly swatting away at flies. They were everywhere and literally made the experience so traumatic, that i can safely say, I'd never go back. Definitely was not worth the journey, but the drive...

The property is a beautiful Park and it's a really nice dive to get there with scenic views. However, once you get there, you need to pay to enter which I did not like, but at that point you feel trapped cause you're already so far away from everything else. Then you get there...and the place is crawling with flies.....I've never seen that many flies in my life. I couldn't eat or just sit and enjoy th view without swatting at flies. This is definitely not somewhere I'd go again. It was not worth the trip. The best part was the drive to get there. But everything else was either mediocre or below expectation....VERY DISAPPOINTED

Nice little cafe nestled in the hills at Hollywell Park, it is about 45 mins from the foot of Papine. They are open early, so it's perfect for the cyclists and breakfast is served all day. Bring a jacket or light sweater as it can get a bit chilly up there. An umbrella or raincoat is good to have on hand as well. They offer coffee, tea, natural juices, hard liquor and wine. Menu includes items such as soup, burgers, salads, fried chicken, sandwiches, pastries and salmon (it was okay, but overcooked). Staff was friendly, music was at the right level and it was just a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.
