Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville — Restaurant in Jamaica

My wife and I visited your establishmen in July 2022. We were at your establishment in 2019 and it was pleasant...not so much this year. We were ending our trip to Jamaica and stopped into Margaritaville before our flight home. The service was very unwelcoming, in fact- the JA TSA workers were friendlier. We plus two other couples were seated, and took it upon ourselves to further sanitize the tables...much needed. The only soft drinks available was lemonade, not a problem, but we were given small glasses. We kept trying to signal the servers for refills but they were very reluctant to make eye contact. Our flight gave us notice that they were loading early, so we asked to have our meals put in togo boxes instead. There was a long line of people waiting to check out. The problem was, the waitress added a $6 gratuity to each of our tabs...we had already left tips at the tables and were not informed before hand. Due to the long line, we did not have the available time to dispute the charge due to our flight call. This was the worst part of our vacation and not what we've come to know of Jamaican hospitality or...

Was waiting for my flight so decided to grab a bite. Waitress took a long while to come take our order and after dropping off the food, she never came back. They forgot the guacamole with the taco salad but again, no one came by after the food was dropped off.

After waiting more than 20 mins after we finished eating I got up to find the waitress to pay. (a table was seated behind us during this time and they got up and left since no one came to take their order) When I gave her my cash she returned it because "they don't accept bills dates before 2019". That didn't make sense to me at all because she said that the bill was legitimate and legal but they didn't want to deal with the bank since it was before 2019.

I had to break a larger bill and when she returned my cash she said that the bill didn't include any "service charge", implying I needed to leave a tip. She made sure to give me 10 $1 bills to make sure I left her...

First, I understand it's an airport, everyone is in a hurry, etc. When you arrive there is no one at the hostess stand to greet you or advise you of the expected wait time. Upon entering the temperature is about 10 degrees warmer inside without the nice breeze. Took 10 mins to take the drink order and another 15 mins for the drinks to arrive. Was advised to wait another 10 mins because the kitchen was backed up. Customers are approaching the servers to settle up, grabbing to-go boxes as their food arrives...pure chaos. When you checkout they say your tip options are 20,25, or 30%. Although the handheld machine doesn't say that and you can use the 'other' option and put in your own amount.
