The food was delicious, filling, appropriately priced and served in a timely nature despite having limited staff. And speaking of the staff, I wish I knew our waiter's name because he was SOOO VERY attentive to my group of 5 at the table as well as his other tables. He kept coming back from time to time to find out if we needed anything else or if all was well and he refilled our water when required. SUPERMAN does exist but his secret identity remains a secret. Probably doesn't help that I was hella tired and tipsy from the Appleton Estate Rum Experience tour when I arrived at Murray's Fish and Jerk Hut as suggested by Appleton Estate's bartender, Randeen. Btw, if u haven't been on the tour yet, you're missing out on a lovely and unforgettable experience. Now, back to the food. Did I mention that it was DELICIOUS?! I sampled the jerk rabbit and curry goat from my friend's plate and had escoveitch fish, festival and bammy on mine. I've been away from Jamaica for a solid year and this place made me wish I could stay here forever πππ. This little taste of home will have to hold me until I take vacay again but God knows that the food and customer service didn't disappoint. Needless to say, we tipped our waiter. Wait... What are you still doing here reading my review? Go there and experience it urself. For those who did stick around till the end of my spiel, thank you and goodnight.

I stopped here on my way back to Kingston. It is located on the main so it was easy to turn off and into a designated parking lot. The place is well designed with lots of outdoor seating. There is a variety of jerk offerings along with soups and Jamaican curry. I decided to have curry goat and roti with pineapple juice. At 2 0m in the afternoon it is quite surprising that it would be slightly crowded, despite that I was able to find a spot outside facing the roadway that was cool and shaded. I was however surprised that the tables were dirty and attracted many flies and at no point in time did I observe the tables being cleaned. This I believe took away from the dining experience and I hope Murray's will act and prevent this from occurring as it will turn away guests. The food was delicious and well presented. I decided to order some more to take home that's how good the curry goat is.

Great spot for some excellent Jamaican food. Food options include jerked chicken, pork, sausage, rabbit, steamed fish, stewed fish, soups like Manish Water (made with goat meat), and fish tea (soup). The environs are relaxing and there are many seating options where you can enjoy your meal, sip on an Appleton cocktail, beer, fruit juice or water. Dessert is on sale in the form of the world famous Devon House Ice Cream. Fueled by Appleton Estate Rums, Murray's is the perfect spot for group get togethers, for some great food, good company and let's not forget the vibes and drinks. Appleton Signature nights are held here, where popular artistes are featured, gracing audiences with songs we have heard over the years.

The food is excellent, and the restaurant definitely has a warm, clean, and inviting tropical feeling. You can smell the food being cooked while you wait. Murray's is not your typical roadside shack. This is a real and well-constructed restaurant. There's also a Devon House ice cream palor on site. They were out of rum and raisin ice cream at the time, but the grapenut was a good second choice The only two critiques are that some of the staff definitely run on island time. If you are from abroad, you will just have to make the adjustment to slower service. Also, parking is limited, so if you arrive at a busy time, you'll have to take your chances alongside the roadway.

So Murray's is a nice on the way South Coast food destination. The cooked food is generally good. My favorite is the Curried goat and Roti. The Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork is not bad. I only have one issue which I raised with the management team there, not sure they paid it any mind. What they do is they pre cut and package the chicken quarters and rest them near the furnace. So when you make a purchase and go to pick up, the servers will take one of those pre cut quarters already wrapped in foil. Now! Depending on if that piece was close to the fire or not determines if your chicken is cold or Luke warm. So my suggestion is always ask for a fresh cut from the furnace.

I left Spanish Town and came all the way to Clarendon for Murray's Manish Water (Goat Soup) and curry goat and rice and peas and I was not disappointed. My relatives had jerk chicken and it had the smoked jerky flavor I love. Customer service was excellent. There were a few flies but that was expected for an open concept restaurant in the country side but there was not a lot of them and I was able to enjoy my meal. The area was clean and the bathrooms were modern with a rustic vibe. The views are beautiful of the country side and make a great backdrop for photos. And there is a bar at the center of the restaurant. Did I mention FREE WIFI!!!
