Salad Scene — Restaurant in Jamaica

TLDR: Simply delightful and delicious.

My first impression based on the name that it was strictly a vegetarian restaurant. Good thing I was inquisitive.

The menu caters for everyone - Carnivores and vegetarians alike. Right across the spectrum. Each day is a themed day with a wide range of offerings.

I went on a Friday and had the soup of the day - mannish water, jerk/roast pork with rice and peas. I was not disappointed. The food eat good! Serving size is also good. Value for money. You can also mix and match salads with other items available. A variety of sides to choose from.

The area is clean and spacious. A seating section is available if you are unable to resist the temptation of devouring promptly. But mostly takeout occurred during the time I was there.

The staff was patient and accomodating with great customer service.

All in all, a great establishment located in the heart of downtown. I highly recommend it!

I like their salad. But as with everything, customer service can either make or break a company. I called to check on my order that I made over 1 hour before, only to be met with the most crass response I've ever received. Just to be clear, I did not call and argue, I was just checking if my order was out for delivery. Only to be told that "delivery free and di bearer pool dem before completing deliveries." So guess what, number deleted I won't be ordering again. Update: After waiting over an hour for the order to be delivered, I received the wrong order, smh I guess it is...

This is my go-to lunch place when I want food within 10 mins and walking distance. I absolutely love the chicken salad it's delicious as well as the barbefry chicken. Had the curry chicken today, was soso and recently the portion sizes are a bit smaller. Otherwise I'd say it's a reliable spot for good box lunch. It also has natural juices, ...
