Got off the carnival Cruise boat and sort of got shuffled on to a tour bus. tour bus people were trying to keep us out of the city center evidently and just wanted us to go to Margaritaville and some Blue Diamond tourist trap B.S. and some other stupid tourist trap past the airport by some resort, but luckily I ran into a local guy named David as I was escaping from Margaritaville hell and he took me on a 2 hour walking tour through the entire area. I had seen on Google maps this vegan restaurant and I wanted a fresh squeezed juice bc the food on the cruise ship is alright but I was ready for some all natural juice, but the tour bus people just laughed when I told them about it and said I didn't want to go down there bc Barnett St. was too commercial, so I had given up on the idea and I definitely wasn't gonna try to walk there by myself, having never been to Jamaica before and knowing absolutely nothing about the city, but it was cool, I didn't get hassled by anybody walking all over downtown and through the old church and the farmers market and all that, and all of a sudden we were standing right there in front of Millennium Victori, that's where all the rastas eat my tour guide said.. I got an awesome beet, carrot, and passion fruit fresh squeezed juice and that fulfilled my one goal on shore at...
Read moreWe were really disappointed with our experience here.
The lady at the counter was very rude and visibly annoyed, making the experience uncomfortable.
She also served us the wrong juice even though we double checked beforehand which irritated her as well.
We ordered 2 large tofu plates and paid extra for more protein. The “large tofu plate” didn’t even come with tofu at first, and when we asked, they brought a small cup to share, saying they’d run out—without letting us know beforehand.
Many other items on the menu were already sold out at 12.30pm.
The food was mostly bland, with no seasoning or dressing. They don’t use salt in the kitchen (which is fine) and usually season with liquid aminos. After we asked for salt they informed us they ran out of liquid aminos as well which explained the bland taste.
Despite informing the staff of a gluten allergy (which they said was no problem), our dishes arrived with gluten-containing dumplings.
Overall, we wouldn’t recommend this place. While we appreciate the concept and the couple of items that were enjoyable (tofu and stew), the lack of key ingredients, the lack of seasoning, and the dismissive attitude of the staff left us feeling very...
Read moreReally great place to eat consciously, great tasting food. Made with a healthy body in mind . Food taste good too, I especially love the 'yatty' Rasta name for a popular Jamaica favourite ' patty'. The callaloo one just before afternoon hours is so delicious, last time I had one ( y esterday ) it was warm, soft, filled and I wanted to call in and give a compliment! Yea. So in Mobay? I highly recommend this place. Brethren then nice tuh. Plus pastries and natural juices. Dining available. Parking arrangable. Great variety of options to eat. Oh and art all around, with droplets...
