I recently dined at Plantation Steakhouse, and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. As a traveler from Chicago, I was looking forward to a memorable meal in Jamaica, and Plantation Steakhouse exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the oxtails with rice, which were bursting with flavor in every bite. The culinary expertise truly shines in every dish, showcasing the rich and diverse flavors of Jamaican cuisine. Service was impeccable. Our waitress Shevene was nothing short of a dream girl, she attending to every detail with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. She made us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal. And the girl was fast, if you asked for anything she was on top of it to bring 🍹 drinks and napkins fast! The ambiance added to the charm of the afternoon. The music selection was perfect, creating a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. The overall vibe of the restaurant was wonderful, making it a perfect spot for both locals and visitors. Even the bathrooms and hand washing station were spotless, reflecting the establishment’s attention to detail and commitment to providing a first-class experience for their guests. The drinks were also a highlight – each one was expertly crafted and delicious, complementing the meal perfectly. I can’t wait to return next time I’m in Jamaica. Plantation Steakhouse is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy an exceptional dining experience. Blessings to the team for making my visit unforgettable! and Big Up’s to DJ Sheng he had the place to rocking from Taylor Swift & Adele to Chris Brown, Rihanna And all the American cuts! Not to mention the Reggae Jams! Stop by and tell them you saw my review! Peace & Blessing Kymberly Traveler @Kymberlytraveler_ on IG and You Tube

As soon as we got there, it was all smiley faces greeting us. Our server VANESSA was so pleasant and friendly. I ordered Lobster Tails in Garlic Butter Sauce ,and when it first came out, it was bland and just tasted like the grill. Vanessa came to check and ensure that we were enjoying our meals. I told her that I was not. I asked for the Lobster to be sautéed in the Garlic Butter Sauce because there was no flavor to it. She did just as I requested. These pictures are of the second plate I received. This chef that she brought it to did an amazing job with the flavor, taste, and presentation. I am sorry I didn't get the name of the chef. I really want to extend my gratitude and appreciation of the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT VANESSA GAVE US. Being locals at times, we are not appreciated as customers, but VANESSA was nothing short of being excellent right throughout our dining period. TRENT, our bartender, was also great. Very pleasant, friendly, and knows how to wow his customers. All the other staffs we encountered were very pleasant as well. I highly recommend that you all go dine at Plantation Smoke House, and please ask for VANESSA and TRENT. We will definitely be back.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at a restaurant that left much to be desired. The the atmosphere and service were average, and the food fell miserably short of expectations. Allow me to share my disheartening encounter with the culinary disaster that unfolded before me. First and foremost, the drinks were great but I ordered oxtail empanadas which where dry and flavorless. Let's address the centerpiece of the meal - the lobster. To my dismay, the lobster arrived at my table with a charred exterior that was reminiscent of a long-forgotten campfire. It was as if the chef had forgotten about it entirely, leaving it to sizzle away to a sorry state. To make matters worse, there was no butter as advertised on the menu to accompany this culinary catastrophe. A lobster without butter is like a ship without a sail - utterly pointless and void of any joy. The accompanying side dish of steamed vegetables was equally disappointing. With each bite, I felt as though I was gnawing on rubber bands. The vegetables were undercooked to the point of surrendering any semblance of texture or flavor. It was a sad testament to what should have been a vibrant and nutritious accompaniment to the main course. However, amidst this sea of disappointment, there was one saving grace - the mac and cheese. Creamy, cheesy, and bursting with flavor, it was a delightful surprise amidst the culinary chaos. The mac and cheese provided a much-needed glimmer of hope, reminding me that not all was lost. But alas, even the mac and cheese could not redeem the restaurant's missteps. To add insult to injury, they served a cold steak alongside the already overcooked lobster as a replacement. It left me wondering if the kitchen staff had completely abandoned the concept of time and temperature control. The steak, a mere afterthought, was a cruel reminder of the mishandling of the entire dining experience. While the atmosphere and service were average, it is with a heavy heart that I declare I will not be returning to this establishment. The burnt lobster, tough steamed vegetables, and cold steak were simply unforgivable offenses. It is my hope that the restaurant takes note of these shortcomings and makes the necessary improvements to provide a memorable dining experience worthy of its ambiance and service. In the end, I implore fellow diners to exercise caution when considering this establishment. It may lure you in with its pleasant surroundings and attentive staff, but the tasteless and poorly executed dishes will leave you longing for more - more flavor, more attention to detail, and most importantly, more value for your hard-earned money.

The appearance of the restaurant is good as it's a fairly new place and is very clean. We went on a Friday, there was live music which was nice, but it is extremely loud. It is so loud that you can't even talk with the person sitting next to you at the same table without shouting. I've asked the young lady who was serving our table if I could speak with the owners or manager about possibly lowering the volume so I could at least hear when my children speak. She told me there's no point as I'm not the first to complain but they will not do it. The food looks good, but tasted horrible, it isn't anything you would've expected to receive in a Jamaican restaurant where flavour is concerned. It was properly cook, just lacking spices. (Not pepper) all the millions of other spices that we have on the island and you'd expect to taste. It was just bland! The steak in the surf and turf was so soft and not in a good way. The texture was like a tractor ran over it before they cook it. The tables are very small and you'll struggle with sitting if you are tall and have good posture. 6 of us went, all we all have diarrhoea and vomiting the morning after. Withing the space of 10hrs. I'm very hesitant in recommending this place to anyone, it isn't the most affordable place to eat out, but because I know the quality food Jamaica produce in general, the price isn't an issue for me. However, because I also know every business have it's bad days, and this place is always jammed packed, I'll chuck it up to just a one time error on their part. They normally have good reviews, just that I didn't have a good experience this time. Based on our culture and knowing our pride in our food, I'll still recommend it based solely on that. We had a good time eventhough we had to be shouting while talking with each other.

Lots of parking, with uniformed security guards present, from the gate to the parking lot. Nice restaurant, food was good but at 7pm but a lot of things were not available such as festival, as they ran out of dough, no quesidillas, no empanada. The garden salad was bitter. The wait for food was long, like really long, over 30 mins. The red was soup was a bit salty and thin (long) for me, no good. Had to prompt the server to give juice and water while we wait. The servers are nice and mean well, but they just need some more customer service training, and that would bring the experience to a higher level. The ladies' room is clean, had toilet tissue and hand towel. Smelled fresh. The karaoke started well, with a live show of sings and videos, and the lady was not boring at all, very lively and well spirited. My first visit was better than this as I think the oxtail had no real Jamaican taste, no seasoning, no flavor. The rice was a bit salty. However, the chicken pasta was awesome, steak taco was great, the cesar salad was good as well as the half 1/2 rib with french fries that were just great, too. The strawberry lemonade and Shirley temple drink were fine also. The kids' menu of BBQ wings with french fries was awesome. I know my parents will appreciate their shrimp pasta, and Shirley temple juice. (Not salty, does not smell raw and looks very appealing) Check out was fast, However, you need a portable card reader, machine. Overall, it's an experience you need to try for yourself. Well done, and thanks.

Upon entering the property my thought was wow easy to find, great sign from the road. Huge parking with EV charging for electric cars. The visual and atmosphere sensory was great. I loved what I could of visually see from the parking lot to my table. Upon entering the establishment there was a young standing out side of the bar I told her it’s our first time here Whats the process for dining. She look at me like I was crazy. Then tell us to just go over there and point to the seating area. So I continue to ask what’s those different areas I’m looking at for, Please explain to me as if I’m a kid and it my first time here that’s when she decided to do just so and then past us off to Bridget. Both Bridget and our Tall waitress is the reason I decided not to give this restaurant a 1 star. They were both informative, helpful and went above and beyond especially for my nieces which is 5 years old. So I just this restaurant is kids friendly to a extent. We were a party of 5 and order from the local side of the menu because its the under 30 minutes side of the menu. The Curry goat was a bowl of Bone and slush. The jerk chicken tasted possibly of charcoal cook but just salt and black pepper rubbed. Mash and Mac n cheese was the stars of the table for its Taste and presentation. The American side of the menu look and sounds good but it the local experience and taste I was looking for. Which was disappointing. To compare the jerk chicken taste, Island grill would have been much better taste and flavor wise.
