A local resident of Hyogo-ken brings me here. This local shop is famous for akashi-yaki, a dish which said to be the original version of the well-known Japanese dish, takoyaki. Here, the story tells that in the past, there was many egg white left, so the local tried to make a dish from the leftover white egg, and they create akashi-yaki. The price is also quite reasonable. I believe this shop is famous because I have to wait for about 45 minutes during lunch time. The best way to eat akashi-yaki is just adding a bit of sprinkled salt on top of it, and eat with the soup they prepared. A definitely worth to try place when you have time to visit...

If you're limited on time, there are many places closer to the station which serve this Akashi-yaki dish, although they might not be "the best," like this joint is. The shop itself is tiny, and you'll probably sit with or near strangers at your table, but it works. It's got a nice mom-and-pop atmosphere. The food was superb! ¥650 for a sheet of 20; you have to order in multiples of 20, which seems like a lot, but they're actually pretty small so it should be fine unless you're a super small eater.
