While the coffee at Café Gris is quite good, I was very disappointed by their discriminatory policy towards children. They do not allow kids aged 10 or younger to enter, which is something I’ve never encountered at any café around the world. It felt quite unwelcoming and unfair, especially for families. We stumbled upon this quaint little cafe midway through our journey around the circumference of Lake Kawaguchiko. Twas a godsend. We were parched, exhausted and in much need of modern amenities.

The Himalayan Earl Grey was true to it's namesake - quenched the thirst of a yeti. The Caramel Milk Tea, settled a whinging princess.

Though our stop was brief. Our stop was memorable.

I was in the middle of biking around the lake when this adorable cafe popped out of nowhere! I genuinely really liked everything I had - I got the broccoli potage with croissant (GET THE CROISSANT SET!! the croissant is so good 🤤) the strawberry fields tea & a slice of cream cheese pie!
