Royal Host Wajiro — Restaurant in Fukuoka

Royal Host is a classic Japanese diner. The Wajiro location is a 10 minute walk from the Fukko Daimae train station. The menu is different during breakfast, lunch and dinner. I ordered the hamburg breakfast set ¥1188. It came with rice, miso soup, salad and roasted seaweed. There is an option to include the unlimited drink bar for ¥308. That was awesome. You can get hot or cold coffee, latte, cocoa, espresso, tea. For the cold side, there's Coke, Coke Zero, Melon Fanta, Calpis, orange juice, vegetable juice, ice tea and tropical tea. For ¥50, there's an option to get a bigger rice. The food was clean tasting and delicious. It arrived on a caste iron plate sizzling. I love how they included big pieces of vegetables with the hamburg. The kitchen was quick. My food came out within 10 minutes. Service was excellent. Side notes: Menu is in Japanese only. You pay at the cashier after you are done. The waitress will leave a paper of what you ordered on a little glass cup at your table. Great job everyone at Royal...

35-40 min wait (yes, peak time but only 3 visible, very busy waiting staff. No reflection on them, though they didn’t look happy. The same every time). Salad of lettuce and sliced cold chicken with dressing……umm, I could have done that at home…. Not a tomato in sight…. Poor value. Decor….. looking at dirty aircon vents and ceiling lights with dead insects visible…..

幼少の頃から親しみのある大好きなレストランです。味もサービスも安心安定で朝、昼、夜問わず食べたくなったときに利用しています。 が、最近、サービスが劣化してる気がします。和白店に関しては以前はアンガスステーキピラフの肉の盛り付けが汚かったり(直近２回とも)、今日はイギリスパンを食べたあとのパン屑でテーブルをしっかりと散らかしてしまったのですが、食器を片付ける際にきれいにしてくれると期待するもそのままで、デザートをパン屑を避けて置くという有り様。 ロイホのサービスってこのレベルでした？
