max and son’s coffee roaster — Restaurant in Funabashi

My family and I just tried this place on the way back from a day excursion with the kids. For a few years now, we'd passed this little café nestled back amongst trees on a small country road, but were always too busy on the way from one place to another. Finally, we got to stop in, too tired to go looking far and remembering that this was close. We made the right choice. Excellent music, the scent of fresh roasted coffee, and a friendly staff made this an immediately comfortable place. The delicious desserts and carefully prepared drinks (each with with its own unique flair) sealed the deal. We're coming back again.

Went for a quick cake and coffee in the afternoon. It was really such a lovely atmosphere. The menu is very typical for a Japanese style cafe and getting out here would is more or less only possible with a vehicle. I want to edge on almost going 4.5 stars because the vibe itself is so refreshing. It's just the lack of more wow from the menu...

近場にある、ふなばしアンデルセン公園散歩がてら寄ってみました。 お店に近づくと、店外にもテーブル席がいくつかあり、その近くの日陰でにゃんこがお昼寝をしていました。 今回は真夏の訪問でしたので利用しませんでしたが、これは季節によってはとても気持ちよさそうです。 店内は、たくさんのレコードを中心とした落ち着いた色味のインテリアに、コーヒー豆や関連グッズの販売棚などがあり、雰囲気もグッド！ 注文はケーキセットで、レアチーズケーキとアイスコーヒーをお願いしましたが、これが双方ともおいしい！ レモンの風味が絶妙にチーズに折り交ざるその様は、フォークがとまりません。 コーヒーも、とてもクリアな風合いで暑い日に汗をかいてきた喉にとてもフィット。 またお客さんは常連の方も多いようで、店員さんお客さん、双方向で（うるさすぎない程度に）和気藹々としており、地元の人たちに愛されてるお店なんだなあ、という印象でした。 ただ一つ気になったのは、常連さんらしき方が、あっちのテーブルこっちのカウンターでマスクせずにペチャクチャしており、店員さんも特に注意することもなかった点ですね。 時節柄、飲食時以外はマスク着用はしてほしい...
