The food here deserves more recognition and it seems like they still use a wood fired stove for cooking as the place was smoky when it opened. The pricing here is crazy cheap for the quality it serves. Mini udon for only 100 yen?! It was packed with ingredients and not just the cold udon itself. The pork belly bowl was superbly enjoyable and so was the tempura which has a generous portion. Seems like the main crowd are old folks who stays in the area, understandably as it's not a touristy spot and rather quaint and hidden.

Delicious but more importantly are the friendly, warm and lovely people working here. It seemed to be a family run restaurant. Beware of the owners cat because the cat wants cuddles. I can recommend the Tempura. You can get more rice if needed. Please visit!

羽咋市柴垣町、志賀町境に近い国道249号沿いにあるお食事処。古民家をそのままお店にした感じで、素朴で味がある落ち着いた雰囲気。いいねぇ、隅に薪ストーブがある何か田舎のおばぁちゃん家に来た時の匂いもする。何か昭和にタイムスリップしたような感じだ。親子経営であろうか、ご主人は腰が低く親切な対応で動きまわり、おじぃちゃんは厨房内で働いていた。日替わり定食を注文したが、安くでボリューミー。この日の日替わりはアジフライ。他店とは違い開いた状態で揚げておらず、衣もパリッと感でなくしっとりとして歯応えのあるものだった。一夜干し？すり身？まぁ、これはこれで噛むたびにアジの風味が口に広がり美味しかった。みそ汁に天かす、この辺じゃ珍しいねぇ。小鉢もいろんな食材詰まっていて美味しい。これだけ揃って1000円でお釣りがくる！このご時世に何とごはんの大盛り、おかわり無料！いやぁ、満足！岩牡蠣のシーズンにも来たいなぁ…。
