Expect slow service, there was one person in the kitchen, and one other person waiting on tables when I was here for lunch one weekend. The restaurant wasn't busy, but I was told, very clearly, that I could wait up to 40-minutes to be seated. I echo what many other reviewers say about the salad, the dressing is delicious. The pizza was good, it held itself up well, so a knife and fork weren't necessary, although the crust and bottom were a little on the charred side. Personally, I think my anchovy, bacon and mushroom pizza could have done with more seasoning. The coffee was really good, but the Basque cheesecake was a little disappointing, crumbly and bland, I wouldn't order it again. The restaurant was clean, modern, and simply furnished. The counter seats offer a view of the open kitchen, a clean and well-organized kitchen, where the cook seems very meticulous about what he does. Maybe because of the small number of staff, service was not the most attentive (nor the most efficient), even when the restaurant wasn't busy. I had specified that I wanted my coffee first while I wait for my meal, but instead, it came after the salad. I had drained my glass of water as soon as I was seated and was expecting the waitress to come around and refill it, but it never happened, so in the end, after I had finished my meal I had to go over and ask...
Read more400 yen for a gram (more or less) of Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on the pasta??? No thanks! When I asked for Parmesan cheese, they said they would charge for it. I was surprised, because no other restaurant ever charged me for Parmesan cheese or any other condiments, but I accepted, assuming it would be reasonable, and having no desire to haggle over condiments. But 400 yen for a gram is ridiculous. It isn't gold dust. I ordered my coffee black, without cream and sugar, and my salad with out dressing. One would think the absence of cream, sugar and salad dressing would more than compensate for a little Parmesan cheese. But maybe they would have charged me extra for those as well. When I asked for Parmesan cheese for my Pasta at Coco's this evening, they brought me a 80 gram shaker, without question, and didn't charge a single yen for it. The food is good at this restaurant, and the environment is pleasant, but their stinginess with condiments leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It COULD be a very nice place to eat, but as it is, I'll...
