Firstly, you should make a reservation, even if it's only shortly before you go. Sometimes it's reservations only. Then, it's not a place for everyone, but we absolutely loved everything about Haru Kitchen. It was very quiet when we went - no other customers and no background music. The one room was cosy and warm, but not stuffy, on a cool day. We sat by the large windows in the sunshine overlooking an interesting, overgrown garden full of dragonflies, bees, and butterfles. The lunch menu has only 3 choices. We had the tomato curry and the venison hot pot. Both were absolutely delicious. Both came with shiny, moist Hokkaido rice, which was outstanding!!
