The owner and waitress were rude immediately when we entered. Instead of speaking to us to greet us (me and my mother foreign, my mother-in-law who is Japanese) they aggressively brought an English sign saying ‘only people who can drink black coffee can order here.’ My mother-in-law and I told them in Japanese that it was fine, we’ll drink black coffee. The owner and waitress were not friendly or welcoming at all.
We each ordered a coffee (you must order one coffee per person) and a sweet. I used to work in coffee and make it a point to travel to all sorts of shops and roasters, and I thought the coffee was good, not the best I’ve ever had, but good. Maybe it was the rudeness of the staff that put me off the taste, though. However they brag outside their store that it’s ’the best.’
The sweets were nothing special. I had “tiramisu” which was literally just one lady finger dipped in coffee with some cream on top. My mom got the canele which was too hot to eat for a while. My MIL got the cheesecake which was good.
No kids are allowed here, which is fine that’s their prerogative, but as I’m about to have a baby I don’t see myself returning, and I can’t say I’m missing out on anything by not going back to this shop.
As an aside, I think this owner is quite full of himself, bragging about roasting the best coffee in their signage. When you walk in the view is fantastic but then looking at the decor on the walls are a bunch of pictures of the owner himself roasting coffee. It gives weird vibes on top of the insistence that people only drink their coffee black. I don’t really understand why they seem so keen to eliminate a whole customer base that might enjoy a shop like this if they just let people drink coffee how they enjoy it, not how the owner thinks they...

Beautiful ocean views from this coffee rosterie. You can drink coffee from all over the world. The food is very nice too - I had a nice chicken sandwich. This is a great place to stop for lunch and a coffee on the way to Shirahama. The quality of the coffee is excellent and the interior of the restaurant creates a relaxing atmosphere. 岩代駅から少し北の印南町に入ってすぐにあるお店です。 珈琲専門店でスペシャルティコーヒーを頂けます。 スペシャルティって？名前のままですね。普段飲んでるコーヒーのワンランク以上上の豆を焙煎したものとなっております。 味の良いはもちろん、豆としての生産管理含めてです。
今日はほんとにたまたま見つけて、すぐにUターンして入ってみました。 ちょうどカーブのせいで、知らないと一瞬で通り過ぎるから。 外観は引きで撮れなかったので無しですが、オシャレです。飛び込むの苦手だと躊躇しちゃうかも。 でもこの看板で分かるよね。想像してね。 ちなみにお店は僕の背中側。太陽の関係です。ほんとは反対からがいいんだけど。 立地としては南部以南だと高速乗っちゃうからこの辺はもうほとんど通らないよね。
さて、コーヒーは基本的にホットコーヒー。色んな豆から選べます。 アイスはひとつだけ。たぶん。 コーヒーの特徴を色々書いてくれてるし、教えてくれるので、甘いのから苦いの酸っぱいのと好みで味わえます。 ただし、珈琲専門店ということでブラック推奨です。 ガムシロップ、砂糖はあるけどフレッシュとかは無いです。 まぁ苦いの苦手な人は甘いの選べば大丈夫♪たぶん。 デザート類を選べるので、合わせても良いと思います♪ ただし、食事気分で行くお店じゃないです。注意。 だってスペシャルティ珈琲専門店。

ここのメインはもちろん珈琲なんだけれども、さらにロケーションがとっても良い。 なんといってもお店がポニョなんですよ。じゃない、崖の上なんですよね。少しでも反応したら僕の勝ちね。 で、すぐ下が磯でして、そこに打ち付ける波を見るもよし、遠くを眺めて大海原を感じるもよし。です。太平洋！(紀伊水道！) しかも西向きなんでサンセット！が綺麗です。たぶん。 もう少し日没が早くなったらめっちゃ良いはず。 冬にホットコーヒー飲みながら海を眺めるとか良くないですか？！ コーヒー好きな人、デートに最適ですよ。…誰かいませんか？ もちろん、一人でも大丈夫。時間を忘れます。
最後にもうひとつ。
