The cafe inside an old school that was renovated. The cafe is quite comfy and spacious. Well designed. There is a separate area for family. Ordered the ham & cheese sandwich, 2 kinds of curry plate and napolitan pasta. The ham and cheese sandwich is using crispy maybe because they half a slice of bread. It’s filled with cheese, ham and pickles. The kids didn’t like the pickles and perhaps it is up to individuals. For the curry, went with the spicy pork beans curry and coconut chicken. The spicy pork beans curry is spicy and has a kick to it which I like. There is also a good blend of spices. The coconut curry which has 2 chilly to it, was creamy and mild. Perhaps it is a good curry to balance the spicy pork beans curry. The napolitan pasta is interesting as it is topped with roasted herbs and nuts. Definitely a must try. You can also go for the spicy napolitan. All in all, a good cafe for lunch. While it is a bit pricey, the food quality is good. Not a bad place to spend the weekend as it also has outdoor play area for kids. We went for the sweet potato harvest which the kids enjoyed a lot.

The butter chicken curry was really good, the spicy curry was realllly spicy so be warned. I recommend the chicory ice cream and latte. It’s a really unique taste, kind of like cinnamon?? So good. 🥰 Edit: also, this place is cool because it’s build into an old school. There is a yard with swings and stuff that is fun. An outdoors shop with tons of cool snow peak gear, and interior design shop, and some more cool rooms. Worth the visit and some time to explore/look around. 😁

福島県猪苗代町にある 廃校をリノベーションしたカフェ 旧「猪苗代町立山潟小学校」の校中にあり 「Roots猪苗代」の看板が目印 迷いながら「cafe 　entotsunoki」と書かれた 小さな看板がある教室に入ると 薪ストーブのあるカフェになっていました 注文したのは ●私『ポークビンダルーカレー』￥930 黒胡椒がかなり効いた超辛口カレー お子様や辛いもん苦手な方は注意⚠️ カルダモンやクミンなど香辛料が強く 好みが別れそうな味(；^ω^) ●『カモミール&エキナセア』￥600 優しい香りと味、黄色が綺麗なハーブティ ポット提供でカップ2～3杯分ある ●連れ『バターチキンカレー』￥930 ココナッツミルクとカルダモンなどの 香辛料が、かな～～～り❗効いた甘いカレー 連れは苦手やったみたいで２口でギブ 私もコレは・・残しました(-""-;) どっちのカレーも好みが別れる味やね ●『自家焙煎珈琲』￥550 苦味が強くコク少なめでスッキリした味 ●『焼きリンゴ、ミニソフト添え』￥650 シナモンたっぷりの焼きリンゴ 少し甘いけどソフトクリームと一緒に食べると さっぱりして美味しい♪ハーブティとの相性も◎ 週末は学校内でイベントがあるみたい お子様連れの家族で賑わいがあり テイクアウトのソフトクリームやドリンクを 小さな子が嬉しそうに買う姿に癒される♡ 廃校リノベーションてのが面白く雰囲気は◎ スイーツとお茶するのに良さそうなカフェ コロナに負けず頑張ってや～♪ヽ(´▽｀)/
