Ishigaki Tuna — Restaurant in Ishigaki

We arrived quite late due to our late arrival in Ishigaki. We wanted to eat something local and special and found this gem of restaurant. The ambient to sit on the tatami mattress was great. The service and the staff was very helpful to support us in the food ordering process. And then the food, it was amazing. We tried several different things and all was delicious. Even the chef could notice this within our reaction. So far was the best food we had on Ishigaki Island and definitely not the last time...

World class sushi - better than everything we had in Tokyo. Finding this freshness of tuna and other sashimi dishes is something very rare! If you are on Ishigaki and don’t go to this place, you really missed out on a delicious experience and would need to come again to this beautiful island to eat tuna at Ishigaki tuna. We thank the super nice staff for welcoming us and enjoy their food.

Both maguro bowl and salmon bowl were amazing. The portion was just enough for both of us but we ordered beef dish just to give it a try - it was good as well. Too bad the staff doesn’t speak much of English and the menu is handwritten in Japanese so my translation app wasn’t useful. I would love to revisit here with someone who can read and speak Japanese to try other...
