Last Friday I went to Brown’s Field for lunch for the first time. I wanted to try the homegrown rice cooked over firewood in the traditional way. The restaurant is surrounded by many trees and you can see people going about their daily lives, which is wonderful. Everything seemed very natural. I also liked the fact the floor shook like an earthquake when anyone walked on it. The lunch plate was a complex, flavorful dish made with homegrown vegetables. It was light and healthy but it didn’t suit my taste. In the future, I will just go for tea. I was surprised that there were so many young people there. When I left, I saw fifteen cars in the car park. It’s a really popular place! I went home with mixed feelings, feeling that the times were changing.

Rather than going to Tokyo for vegan and overpriced food - this place is worth the drive and it's quite relaxing. Great to visit alone, with friends or family. Note: I wouldn't recommend driving there with a large vehicle/suv. Parking is available but...
