We were the only ones there for lunch in a weekday. Only a few restaurants opened - not all.

The menu was limited. Rice came in a pre-packed plastic box. Which means it’s not freshly cooked and probably from a supplier.

The oysters were fresh and plump. However being a newbie, it was hard to shack the oysters with improper tools. Their tongs were flimsy. And pls be very careful as the some oysters will explode 💥 and their boiling fluid from within will burn you. It did but the staff stood there and didn’t offer to check on us - I thought they were very un-Japanese.

This place only accepts cash or Alipay.

It’s not as hype as what you see on social media. But...

Came here on a rainy Wednesday, and didn't have to queue at all. You order via a QR code and they have menu in English, Chinese, and Korean (with photos as well) so very easy for tourist to navigate. The oysters are fresh but very affordable. I also had the Shishamo and fried oysters which was really good! I also recommend the butter mushroom in foil. Very affordable and fun place to go for a grilled seafood meal (self-grill). They also give you a jacket to cover you from the smell of the smoke! The restaurant is pretty spacious!

Get there early before lunch crowds as they do run out. Very tech oriented ordering from menu-scan QR and then click on app that’s used to order. Food is really fresh and you cook it yourself on the grill in front of you. Quite a ride by two trains and taxi from Hakata...
