“Visiting the Izumisano Gyokyo Aozora Fishery Cooper’s Market was an experience that truly enriched my trip. This market is a hidden gem that offers an authentic glimpse into the local culinary culture, far removed from the tourist-centric spots downtown. One piece of advice for potential visitors: make sure to arrive early! The market and its eateries start winding down by 3 pm, and you definitely don’t want to miss out on what they have to offer.
What sets this market apart is not just the freshness of the seafood but also the incredibly reasonable pricing. It’s refreshing to find a place that caters more to the locals than to tourists, offering quality goods and meals at prices that are truly meant for everyday folks. The variety of seafood available is stunning, and everything I tasted was deliciously fresh, showcasing the best of what the local waters have to offer.
The atmosphere of the market is vibrant and bustling, filled with friendly vendors who are happy to share their knowledge and passion for seafood. Dining at one of the market’s eateries provides not just a meal, but an immersive experience, allowing you to savor the local flavors that are hard to find anywhere else.

The market itself has a charming, rustic vibe with a lively atmosphere. It's well-organized, and the vendors are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They were more than happy to offer samples and share cooking tips, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
One of the highlights of my visit was the sushi shop inside the market. The sushi was unbelievably fresh and delicious, made right in front of you with the day's catch. It was a true treat to enjoy such high-quality sushi in a casual, bustling market setting.
Prices are reasonable considering the quality and freshness of the seafood. The market is also conveniently located and easy to get to with public transportation.

Read more30 mins walk from Rinku town or Odyssey Suites hotel Osaka. Relaxed walking, you will pass by a small quiet neighborhood. Before reaching there is a Lawson just 2 mins from the Pier. Adjacent to the market is a horse betting club. Once you arrive you will be greeted by a small building where the market is located. Probably 100 meters stretch. They sell fresh seafood which at great prices. They speak little bit of English enough to talk about prices. I've been told that you could bargain as well. Once your seafood is bought, you could ask them to clean it and then head up to the 2nd floor and rent a bbq pit for 1000 yen (I guess) and cook your food. Or you can simply buy cooked food at the small shop. They have 2 shops selling sushi and cooked food. Worth a visit if you are bored and in need for a walk.
