Takei is primarily known for the dipping-style tsukemen, but they also offer a ramen variant. I opted for the top-line Special Portion of their tsukemen for 1150ï¿¥ ($10.30 USD) and the larger noodle serving for 100ï¿¥ ($0.90 USD) more.
Good golly, that was satisfying. The broth was absolutely killer, with a peppery, flavorful kick and complemented by thick noodles that were perfectly cooked just a tad soft to my liking. The egg was just a bit overcooked, but really had a strong umami taste. The portion size was very filling, as well. They offered three varieties of pork cuts and they each had different textures and tastes, but I wish they were a little softer.
Obviously, the thick tsukemen soup is too strong for drinking alone, so feel free to ask the staff to "cut" the soup (soup wari) to water it down a bit before downing it all. Then smile in utter...
